These are unit-sales figures—not franchise revenue or profit. Sega reported ¥487.542 billion in consolidated net sales for the year and a ¥5.7 billion loss attributable to owners of the parent.
What Sega reported for Sonic, Persona, and Like a Dragon
Sega’s FY2026/3 appendix reports full-game unit sales by major IP. Compared with the prior fiscal year, all three totals were lower.

These are Sega-reported full-game unit totals for each fiscal year, not revenue, profit, player counts, or lifetime franchise sales. Sega’s Like a Dragon series figure includes Judgment. The company notes that historical quarterly FY2026/3 figures were revised because of calculation errors; the table uses the final full-year totals rather than adding earlier quarterly reports. Sega Sammy’s overall financial results
For FY2026/3, SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS reported ¥487.542 billion in net sales, ¥47.128 billion in operating income, ¥54.2 billion in ordinary income, and ¥16.6 billion in adjusted EBITDA. It also reported a ¥5.7 billion loss attributable to owners of the parent. Sales rose from FY2025/3, while profits declined. Why franchise unit sales are not franchise earnings
The reported Sonic, Persona, and Like a Dragon figures do not show how much revenue or profit any one franchise generated. They are full-game unit sales in an appendix; the earnings presentation reports company and business-segment financials. A unit comparison therefore describes reported sales volume, not each series’ contribution to Sega Sammy’s bottom line.

Licensing is another part of the picture for Sonic. In its FY2025/3 results commentary, Sega said Sonic contributed to increased game and character-licensing revenue and helped boost operating income in the Entertainment Contents Business. In its commentary on FY2025/3, Sega described Sonic X Shadow Generations, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii as titles that achieved steady sales. It also said Sonic character-licensing revenue had grown steadily, supported by games and animation.
