The Steam listing names FromSoftware, Inc. as developer. Its publishing attribution varies by region: Activision outside Japan and Asia, FromSoftware in Japan, and 方块游戏 in Asia. Check the live store page for the version and purchase details that apply to you.
The official site describes bonus content including new boss challenge modes, player recordings and unlockable skins, but check your regional store entry to confirm which edition or purchase includes each item. A historical price FromSoftware cited in 2023 applied only to the Japanese physical PlayStation 4 version, not the Windows digital edition.

Activision’s PC support article, published March 22, 2019, lists these requirements. They are published specifications, not a recent test of every PC configuration.

Steam separately notes that its client supports Windows 10 and later from January 1, 2024. That is a Steam-client notice, not an update to Activision’s older game requirements. If your PC falls between the listed tiers, these specifications alone do not establish how well it will run; they are not performance benchmarks.
What the game is like
FromSoftware’s official description places the story in late-16th-century Sengoku-era Japan. You play as the “one-armed wolf,” a warrior seeking to rescue a young lord and restore his honor. Steam lists the game as a single-player action/adventure. The listing’s tagline is “Take Revenge. Restore Your Honor. Kill Ingeniously.”
Stealth, movement and combat
The official feature descriptions emphasize stealth, vertical traversal, ninja abilities, prosthetic tools and head-to-head combat. These are parts of the game’s design rather than a recommendation for one particular input method; whether the combat suits you is a matter of preference.

A controller is optional. Activision’s Windows controller guide covers Xbox One firmware updates, a PlayStation 4 controller whose gyroscope moves the camera, and conflicts between Steam’s inversion settings and the game’s own settings. The guide is dated and does not certify every modern controller model; check compatibility for your specific device and current Windows and Steam setup.
- If an Xbox One controller is not working as expected, consult Activision’s guide for its firmware-update steps.
- If a PlayStation 4 controller causes unwanted camera movement, check the guide’s advice about gyro behavior.

How many copies has Sekiro sold?
FromSoftware, Inc. announced on September 26, 2023, that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice had sold more than 10 million units worldwide. The company’s note says the total includes digital versions and PC-platform Steam downloads. This is a dated company announcement, not a current sales tally.
