When does Shoresy: Legends of the North come to consoles?
The announcement and storefront listings do not agree. ScreenRant’s exclusive, republished by AOL on October 5, 2026, says the game will arrive on PlayStation and Xbox on October 21. Xbox’s US and Canadian listings instead show October 19, 2026. Because the dates conflict, neither should be treated as settled across platforms; confirm the current date in the storefront for your region.
The Xbox listing identifies an Xbox Series X|S version. The announcement names PlayStation, but the report does not specify a PlayStation model or link to a PlayStation store listing. The official game page’s heading also references Switch, but that alone does not confirm a live Nintendo storefront listing or release date.
Where can you play it now?
The PC version is already available on Steam, where its listed release date is November 22, 2025. Steam identifies Treewood Games as developer and New Metric Media and Play Fun Games as publishers. The console announcement is therefore an expansion beyond the existing PC release.

The official description calls Shoresy: Legends of the North a fast-paced hockey RPG set in the Shoresy universe. You create a skater, join the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs and face the Hockey Godz. The game also offers play against friends with familiar characters.

Shinny Mode lets players draft familiar characters for local multiplayer. The official game page describes competitive play; Steam specifies shared/split-screen PvP and co-op, and also notes Remote Play Together.

What did the creators say about the game?
Mark Montefiore, founder and CEO of New Metric Media, described gaming as a natural extension of the Shoresy brand and its connection to hockey culture. He said working with Treewood Games made it possible to create an original experience for fans to engage with the characters and humor.
ScreenRant/AOL also quoted an unattributed press release describing the game as designed to be played together, with references to shooting clappers, laying the body and finding out which friends are actually good at video games. That line was attributed to the press release, not to a named speaker.
