Guides report that its price drops after the Friend Request mission, but they do not establish a reliable rebound. If you want to experiment after the mission, make a manual save, invest only spare cash, and watch your own portfolio rather than betting on a specific recovery. Spoilers for Friend Request follow.
What happens to Lifeinvader stock in Friend Request?
Lifeinvader is a BAWSAQ stock. In Friend Request, Michael helps sabotage the prototype phone that Jay Norris presents. Guides associate that mission event with a sharp drop in Lifeinvader’s share price. They do not establish a precise loss or a predictable timetable for what happens afterward. Android Experto and Position Is Everything both describe the post-mission fall and characterize a rebound as uncertain.

Should you buy before or after the mission?
Before Friend Request
Buying Lifeinvader before the mission is not a sound profit strategy: the reported mission-linked move is downward, not upward. If you have not completed the mission, avoid treating a pre-mission purchase as a way to profit from it.
After Friend Request
A lower price after the drop does not mean the stock is due to recover. The consulted guides do not describe a dependable buy-low/sell-high script for Lifeinvader, and they provide no verified recovery percentage, price target, or recovery time. You can speculate with spare in-game money, but do not make a large purchase on the assumption that the price must rise.

How to make a cautious speculative trade
- Save your game manually before committing money, so you have a recovery point if the trade goes badly.
- Check BAWSAQ first. Confirm that the exchange loads and the stock has a current price before placing an order. Guides say BAWSAQ depends on online services, so connection or service conditions can affect access or price freshness. Vandal’s stock-market guide discusses the exchanges and general trading safeguards.
- Use only spare cash. Keep the position small enough that a continued decline will not disrupt your plans in Story Mode.
- Check the portfolio over several in-game time advances. Decide whether to sell based on the return shown for your character in your own game, not a fixed percentage or online timing claim. No specific Lifeinvader peak or holding period is established by the guides.
How Story Mode trading works—and what it does not prove
The official GTA V game manual describes stock trading through the in-game Internet, using BAWSAQ and LCN. It presents market activity as part of the game world; it does not document Lifeinvader’s specific price movement or promise a recovery.
Lifeinvader’s reported post-mission fall should also be kept separate from the more structured stock trades associated with later Lester assassination missions. Guides describe those as distinct mission-linked opportunities; their strategies do not establish that Lifeinvader will rebound. Vandal lists stocks such as Betta, Bilkinton, Debonaire, Redwood, Fruit, Facade, Vapid, and GoldCoast in its separate assassination-trade guidance.

- Play through an epic single player experience using three very different characters.
- Join your friends in GTA Online and see what trouble you can cause.
- Play golf, tennis, see a film or call someone and just hang out.
BAWSAQ and character portfolios
BAWSAQ is the service-connected exchange described by the guides, so a trade that depends on it is only practical if the market is available in your game. If it will not load, do not rely on a stale or unavailable quote to make a speculative decision. LCN is the other in-game exchange named in the official manual; its existence does not make LCN a substitute route for a Lifeinvader strategy.
Michael, Franklin, and Trevor have separate portfolios. A purchase made with one character does not invest the other characters’ balances, according to Vandal’s guide. Check the portfolio of the character who actually placed the order.

Bottom line for your in-game money
Lifeinvader is a poor choice if your goal is a reliable Story Mode profit: guides connect Friend Request to a sharp price decline but do not establish a scripted recovery. If curiosity is the reason to buy after the drop, save first, keep the stake small, and judge the result in your own game. This advice concerns GTA 5’s fictional market, not real-world securities.
