Tinykin is a single-player exploration platformer about navigating a giant house from the perspective of Milo, a tiny visitor to Earth. Its central appeal is movement through oversized everyday spaces, helped by a soap-board and tinykin companions whose abilities solve environmental obstacles. It released on August 30, 2022.
What kind of game is Tinykin?
Tinykin blends 3D platforming, exploration, collection, and light environmental problem-solving. Its household setting is scaled around Milo: rooms become sprawling environments, while insect societies have built cities within them. The official descriptions frame the adventure around navigating those spaces and helping the characters Milo encounters. They do not establish how difficult the game is, how long it takes to finish, or whether its platforming will challenge a particular player.
How do the tinykin and soap-board work?
Tinykin turn collection into traversal
The tinykin are more than items to gather. Their different abilities help Milo address local obstacles and tasks: the official store description gives examples such as building ladders and bridges, breaking doors, and solving problems. Collecting them therefore feeds directly into the exploration loop.

The soap-board supports movement
Milo uses a soap-board to jump, grind, and hover through the oversized environments. That movement tool and the tinykin’s abilities complement each other: the board helps Milo get around, while companions help change or overcome obstacles in the spaces he explores.
Where can you play Tinykin?
Official listings surfaced for PC through Steam, Xbox, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch. The game is presented as single-player on the Steam and PlayStation listings; Nintendo lists one player on a single system.

Nintendo says Switch 2 compatibility is supported, with behavior consistent with the Switch version. Its listing rates the game for Comic Mischief, Fantasy Violence, and Mild Language. The official game site identifies Steam and Xbox as available and advertises free demos for PlayStation and Switch; availability details can change, so check the relevant store page for the current offer.
Is there a physical Nintendo Switch edition?
Nintendo’s surfaced listing is explicitly for the digital edition. A community search result reported a limited-run physical Switch release from Super Rare Games, but current stock, price, condition, and Amazon availability were not verified. Treat any physical listing as a separate product offer and confirm its edition and seller before buying.

What do players think of Tinykin?
In a Steam snapshot surfaced October 8, 2026, 97% of 1,373 English-language user reviews were positive. Steam also showed 98% positive among 50 recent reviews in that snapshot, although a second result variant showed a slightly different recent-review count. These are changing Steam user-review figures, not critic scores or a cross-platform consensus. They provide a favorable indication of Steam user sentiment, but they do not establish how the game performs or feels on other platforms.

The premise and listed mechanics point to players looking for a single-player platforming adventure centered on exploration, collection, and light environmental problem-solving rather than combat-heavy action. Familiar rooms reimagined at miniature scale, companion abilities, and board-based movement are the clearest reasons to consider it. The available listings and review snapshot do not settle questions about completion time, technical performance by platform, or challenge level, so those should not be assumed from the game’s relaxed-feeling framing.
