Shrine Guardian Seth is found at the Grand Gate, through a hidden passage west of the Underworks. To reach the Heart of the Woods route, enter the Grand Gate lift shaft and use Silk Soar to access the upper passage. Seth and Nyleth are both required encounters on that route. The available guides establish where to find Seth and what his defeat leads to, but do not verify a move-by-move boss strategy.
Where to find Shrine Guardian Seth
Seth is at the Grand Gate, reached through a hidden passage west of the Underworks. The Heart of the Woods entrance lies halfway down the left side of the Grand Gate lift shaft. PC Gamer’s route begins at the Blasted Steps Bellway:

- From the Blasted Steps Bellway, pass through the chamber with the shifting scale platform.
- Use Silk Soar to reach the upper route and enter the Grand Gate lift shaft.
- Break open the passage on the left side of the shaft and descend.
- Clear the vines on the right to reach the base of the shaft and continue toward the Heart of the Woods.

Open the shortcut to the first Underworks bench before committing to repeated attempts. It shortens the return route if a fight goes badly, making it a practical checkpoint to secure before exploring farther.

How to approach the fight
The available guides confirm Seth’s location, but they do not provide a sufficiently detailed, verified account of his attacks or their timing. There is no reliable basis here for naming specific moves, recommending a guaranteed counter, or claiming a particular loadout will work. Watch the encounter’s telegraphs, learn their timing through play, and adjust your positioning and responses accordingly.
What defeating Seth unlocks
Nintendo Life lists no immediate reward for defeating Seth. His fight does, however, matter for a later side quest that rewards the Guardian’s Memento. PC Gamer’s guide says the sequence requires defeating Seth, meeting him again around Pharloom, and beating his scores at the Festival of the Flea.
