The cabinet is behind the first-floor reception area. Use the layouts below for Light, Standard, or Hard; the final coin you put in the top slot is reported to affect the ending, so choose deliberately.
Where to find the coin box
Look under the cover in the back office behind the first-floor reception area. The cabinet has five circular slots and requires three coins found around Wood Side Apartments. The walkthrough covers the 2024 remake on PS5 and PC, and the solutions below are organized by puzzle difficulty; combat difficulty is a separate setting. How to find all three coins
Man coin: Apartment 206 safe
Reach Apartment 206 through Apartment 208, opening the wardrobe passage with the Golden Apple Handle. The Man coin is inside the safe in Apartment 206. The safe code is separate from the cabinet solution and varies by puzzle difficulty:
- Light: right to 15, left to 11, right to 13.
- Standard or Hard: right to 13, left to 7, right to 11.
Woman coin: inner courtyard
In the third-floor laundry area, take the Canned Juice and use it at the clogged garbage chute. The coin drops into the inner courtyard. Return to the first floor to pick it up.

Snake coin: pool courtyard
Enter Apartment 116, go through the broken window into the pool courtyard, and look in the baby stroller in the empty pool. If you are wondering where the third coin is, this is the Snake coin.
Coin faces and cabinet markers
The coins have two faces: Man/Sword, Woman/Gravestone, and Snake/Flower. Flip a coin when the layout calls for its reverse face. On the cabinet, the top markers align with the slots this way: Moon over slot 1, Tree over slot 3, and Sun over slot 5. In the tables, read each row left to right across the five slots; “Empty” means leave that slot blank.

Finish the puzzle and choose the final coin carefully
After completing the third stanza, put one of the three coin identities—Man, Woman, or Snake—in the top slot to finish. The puzzle awards the Apartment 201 Key, which lets you progress. A third-party walkthrough reports that the top-slot coin choice affects the ending, but does not establish which choice corresponds to which ending. The mapping is therefore unspecified here.
The walkthrough’s completion instruction is: “Place any coin, Man, Woman, or Snake, into the top slot to finish the puzzle.”
