Eva has five reward stages in Hollow Knight: Silksong. After the first conversation, her later rewards require 12, 20, 27, and 32 eligible Crest slots. Count slots on Crests other than Hunter Crest; Eva’s own Vesticrest slots do not count.
Where to find Eva
Eva is in the southeast part of Weavenest Atla. You can reach the nest after acquiring Needolin: return to the Moss Grotto entrance, play Needolin at the Weaver-marked gate, then follow the route into Eva’s chamber. Nintendo Life’s guide describes the route; the community-maintained Hollow Knight Wiki Eva entry lists her reward thresholds.

The slot thresholds and reward sequence are listed by the Hollow Knight Wiki. Sylphsong rapidly refills Hornet’s silk spool while she rests at a bench. The Sylphsong entry describes the ability.
Which Crest slots count?
Count unlocked slots on Crests other than Hunter Crest. Slots opened with Memory Lockets count, as do slots on other Crests; Hunter Crest slots are excluded. Vesticrest’s own additional tool slots also do not contribute to Eva’s qualifying total. Silksong.codes’ Eva guide also explains the distinction between Hunter Crest and the qualifying slots.

- Do not count: slots on Hunter Crest or Vesticrest’s reward slots.
How many Memory Lockets are needed?
The Hollow Knight Wiki says Sylphsong can require at least 12 of the game’s 20 Memory Lockets if none are spent on Hunter Crest, or as many as 15 if Lockets are spent there. Those figures depend on how slots are allocated. Nintendo Life’s September 2025 guide gives a different simplified account of Locket totals and Crest upgrades, so use the explicit thresholds—12, 20, 27, and 32 non-Hunter slots—as your checklist rather than treating one Locket count as universal. The Wiki also says collecting every Memory Locket is not required for 100% completion. Locket allocation affects how many you need for Eva, but the relevant test for her later rewards is the number of eligible slots you have unlocked.
