How to find Eva in Weavenest Atla
Eva is located in Weavenest Atla, an area accessed from Moss Grotto. You cannot simply walk through the sealed entrance: the route requires the Needolin.
- Obtain the Needolin. Eva’s area is inaccessible until you have this instrument.
- Return to Moss Grotto. Go to the sealed Weavenest Atla entrance near the first Bench in the area.
- Play the Needolin at the entrance. This opens the route into Weavenest Atla.
- Restore the area’s power. Travel through the upper part of Weavenest Atla and strike both power cells mounted on the ceiling.
- Use the central teleporter. Once power is restored, the teleporter takes Hornet down to the lower section.
- Go right. Continue through the lower passage and repeatedly strike the tangled wires or obstruction blocking the route.
- Continue to the end. Eva is beyond the obstruction.
The route in shorthand is:
Needolin → Moss Grotto → sealed Weavenest Atla entrance → restore power → central teleporter → lower-right passage → Eva.
What Eva’s first Hunter Crest upgrade does
Eva’s first reward is an Insight or evolution effect for the Hunter Crest. It changes the Crest into a more aggressive, hit-streak-focused option.
After successive successful attacks, Hornet builds Focus. When the effect is active or the Focus state is full, her Needle attacks become more dangerous. Taking a hit removes the accumulated state according to the guide descriptions, so the benefit depends on maintaining offensive momentum without being damaged.
In practical terms, the upgraded Hunter Crest is most attractive when you are comfortable staying on the offensive. It rewards clean attack strings and is less forgiving in encounters where you are frequently hit or forced to disengage.

Eva’s later rewards and Crest-slot thresholds
Eva’s subsequent rewards are tied to your overall Crest-slot progression. Simply returning to her after a particular fixed story event is not the main requirement reported by the detailed progression breakdown.
Recommended Free Tools
Memory Lockets expand the number of Tool slots available to a Crest. Newly acquired Crests also contribute their own base slots, which is why collecting another Crest can sometimes advance your total more efficiently than spending another Locket on an already acquired Crest.
| Reported total of unlocked Tool slots | Eva’s reward |
|---|---|
| 12 | First Vesticrest reward, adding an independent Yellow Tool slot |
| 20 | Vesticrest expansion, adding an independent Blue Tool slot |
| 27 | Second Hunter Crest evolution |
| 32 | Eva offers to be Bound |
What Vesticrest slots do
The Vesticrest slots are independent of the Crest you currently equip. The first reported reward adds a Yellow Tool slot, and the later expansion adds a Blue Tool slot. These are account-wide progression benefits rather than replacements for your current Crest or a separate loadout that consumes an extra Crest item.
How many Memory Lockets do you need?
There is no safely universal answer of “all Memory Lockets.” Some guides summarize Eva’s Bind requirement as upgrading roughly six Crests, while another progression account reports seeing the option after using every available Locket. Those descriptions can both occur in individual playthroughs, but they do not prove that every Locket is mandatory for every player.
The more precise requirement is a total of 32 relevant unlocked Tool slots. The exact number of Lockets needed depends on which Crests you have found and how many slots you have unlocked on them. Newly acquired Crests contribute base slots, so your route through the game affects the amount of Locket spending required.

How to unlock Eva’s Bind option
- Visit Eva in Weavenest Atla and collect her initial Hunter Crest upgrade.
- Continue finding Crests and Memory Lockets.
- Use the Lockets to expand the Tool slots available to your Crests.
- Track your total relevant unlocked slots rather than assuming that a specific number of Lockets is required.
- After reaching the earlier rewards, return to Eva when your total reaches the reported 32-slot threshold.
- Accept Eva’s request when the Bind conversation appears.
When counting toward the 32-slot requirement, do not include the Hunter Crest’s initial starting slots in the detailed total reported for this progression. This distinction is the most common reason a player may believe they have reached the threshold when Eva still does not offer the Bind.
What happens when you Bind Eva?
Binding Eva grants Eva’s Art: Sylphsong and is associated with the Entwined achievement or trophy.
Sylphsong is a passive Bench benefit: while Hornet rests at a Bench, her silk spool rapidly refills to full capacity. You therefore begin the next route or encounter with a full silk reserve instead of having to rebuild it from zero.
Binding Eva does not replace Hornet’s equipped Crest, consume an additional loadout item, or remove her existing abilities. Treat it as a persistent quality-of-life reward rather than a new Crest.

1. Count the relevant Tool slots
The strongest specific requirement reported is 32 unlocked Tool slots. Check the actual slots unlocked across the relevant Crests instead of estimating from the number of Lockets you have collected.
2. Exclude the Hunter Crest’s starting slots
The detailed requirement excludes the Hunter Crest’s initial slots. Recalculate your total without those starting slots before deciding that Eva’s conversation is bugged or unavailable.
3. Check for a missing Crest
A Crest you have not yet found may contribute more base slots than another Memory Locket investment. Search for missing Crests before assuming that every remaining Locket must be spent.
4. Spend available Memory Lockets
Memory Lockets are directly connected to Crest-slot expansion, so use the Lockets you have available if your total is still below the threshold. The exact minimum expenditure varies with your Crest collection and upgrades.
5. Revisit Eva after more story or Act progression
Some player reports and guide accounts suggest that a later story or Act state may affect when the conversation appears. This is less firmly established than the 32-slot requirement, so treat it as a troubleshooting step rather than a guaranteed additional condition: progress the story, then return to Eva normally.
