What is Skandar and the Trial of Chaos about?
In their third year of training, Skandar and his friends must face trials across the Island’s four elemental zones. At the same time, Skandar’s sister Kena arrives at Eagle’s Nest with an artificial bond to a wild unicorn, adding tension to the story. A revelation also threatens the Island’s future. This is a spoiler-light premise; it does not disclose the revelation.

The full title and author help distinguish this series novel from Laurie Bowler’s separate ebook, The Trial of Chaos, an English-language 22-page ebook released on 7 March 2023. There is also a later, similarly named Skandar title, Skandar and the Chaos Trials, mentioned on Ikaros Books’ 2026 news page. They are distinct titles; search by the complete title and author rather than the shorter phrase “Trial of Chaos.”
