When did Skate. launch in Early Access?
Electronic Arts and developer Full Circle released Skate. in Early Access on September 16, 2025. The launch date and platform list were announced by EA and Full Circle on August 26, 2025, in their launch announcement. EA’s current support page describes the game as out now in Early Access.

Early Access means the game is still being developed. EA has said that it wants community feedback to help shape the game during this phase. That makes the current release an evolving version rather than a claim that development is finished.
Where can you play Skate.?
EA lists the game for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, EA announced availability through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the EA app. The game is free to download and play, with optional in-game purchases.

EA’s FAQ said mobile platforms would follow later, but the available current platform information does not establish whether or when mobile access is now available. Check EA’s current platform and download guidance for the latest supported options.
How do console playtests fit in?
EA’s The Grind: Vol 1 update said testing had started on PC and mobile and that the team had sent a small wave of invitations for console testing. It did not give a precise date for when console playtesting began. The confirmed detail is limited console invitations, not a verified fall start date.

Playtesting invitations are also distinct from the public Early Access release: the latter launched on the platforms listed above. The available announcement does not say that every player needed an invitation to access the released game.

EA announced cross-platform play and cross-progression, so players can play across supported platforms and carry progression between them. The launch announcement also described Skate. as an online multiplayer skateboarding sandbox set in San Vansterdam, with four neighborhoods: Hedgemont, Gullcrest, Market Mile and Brickswich. EA said seasonal updates would bring challenges, cosmetics, music, world updates and events.

EA Help says players need a persistent internet connection and an EA Account. A PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription is not required.
