What SEGA has confirmed about Year Two
In its June 6, 2026 announcement, SEGA said Season Pass 2 was planned for fall 2026 and would include six crossover packs. It named Godzilla and EVANGELION among them, and called the Godzilla course Godzilla Escape. The same announcement named Tokyo-III as a new course associated with EVANGELION. SEGA’s Season Pass 2 announcement also said four more crossovers were still to be revealed at that time.

How Godzilla Escape connects to City Escape
SEGA’s announcement establishes the official course name, but it does not describe the course layout. In an October 9, 2026 preview, Shacknews reported that Godzilla Escape brings racers back to the familiar City Escape layout from Sonic Adventure 2, while Godzilla attacks the course. The preview describes racers navigating the route and avoiding Godzilla’s rampage; it is preview reporting, not a course-detail statement in SEGA’s June announcement. Read the Shacknews preview.
What is known about the packs and other new content
SEGA’s September 2026 update identified Godzilla and EVANGELION as the first two Year Two DLC packs. It also showed a free Bayonetta character, Butterfly Witch machine, and related emotes and sounds. That free Bayonetta content is separate from the paid Godzilla pack. SEGA’s Year Two update covers the reveal.

On October 8, SEGA said more Season 2 information would be shared at the World Championship Finals on October 10, Japan-local time. That notice preceded the October 9 preview, but it does not itself supply a final pack release schedule. SEGA’s October 8 notice.
Release timing, price, and what is still unclear
SEGA’s stated fall 2026 window applies to Season Pass 2 as a whole. The reviewed announcements do not establish the exact release date for the Godzilla pack, the final complete list of pack contents, Season Pass 2’s price, or every regional storefront option. Treat the course details as preview information until SEGA publishes final specifics.

Does the Nintendo Switch 2 physical edition include Year Two DLC?
No inclusion of Season Pass 2 is established. SEGA announced a physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the base game on January 13, 2026; it includes an early-purchase download code for the Werehog Pack. SEGA’s announcement does not say that the Year Two pass or Godzilla Escape is bundled with that edition. See SEGA’s Nintendo Switch 2 edition announcement.
