Sony said more than 50 games would have PS5 Pro enhancements when the console launched on November 7, 2024. Its announcement named a sample, not a complete catalog, and the figure describes the 2024 launch rather than the current number of enhanced games.
What Sony’s “50+ games” announcement means
In a November 4, 2024 announcement, Sony Interactive Entertainment said more than 50 games would boast PS5 Pro enhancements at launch. Sony explicitly called the titles it named a sample, adding that more games would follow. The list below is therefore Sony’s announced sample, not a definitive roster of every game enhanced on launch day. Sony’s November 2024 announcement.

The “50+” figure is a historical launch claim, not a current total. In a February 27, 2026 update, Sony said PSSR had been used to boost effective resolution in over 50 PS5 Pro titles to date. That later number measures titles using PSSR by that date; it is not a revised count of the games in the 2024 launch announcement. Sony’s February 2026 PSSR update.

Which games were not listed as launch-day enhancements?
Sony said enhancements for Arma Reforger and The Callisto Protocol were scheduled to arrive after launch. They appeared in the announcement’s broader discussion, but that timing means the post does not establish them as available on November 7, 2024. Check each game’s current listing or update notes for its present support status.
What “PS5 Pro enhanced” can mean in practice
PS5 Pro adds an upgraded GPU, advanced ray tracing and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), alongside the potential for smoother 60 Hz or 120 Hz play, depending on the game and display. A “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label identifies compatible games, but Sony cautions that features vary by title. A game may use one or several techniques; the label does not promise a particular resolution, frame rate, or combination of visual upgrades. Sony’s PS5 Pro hardware announcement.
Examples Sony described show why it is more useful to look at each game’s mode and trade-offs than to assume every title receives the same upgrade:
Rank #2
- Model Number CFI-2000
- Includes DualSense Wireless Controller, 1TB SSD, 2 Horizontal Stand Feet, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, printed materials, ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
- Vertical Stand sold seperately
- Horizon Forbidden West: its Pro Performance mode aimed to improve image quality while retaining a high frame rate.
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Sony highlighted an Enhanced Mode.
- Hogwarts Legacy: a new Fidelity ray tracing mode emphasized ray tracing.
- Gran Turismo 7: Sony described additional rendering modes in preparation, including Raytrace Priority and an optional experimental 8K/60 fps mode requiring an 8K display.
These are game-specific examples tied to Sony’s September 2024 first-look report, not general performance guarantees. Sony also notes that enhanced visual modes require a compatible display. Sony’s PS5 Pro first-look report.
No Man’s Sky as a title-specific example
Hello Games founder Sean Murray described the game’s PS5 Pro update as using PSSR for 4K at 60 fps, with an 8K/30 fps option on a compatible 8K display, plus improvements to lighting, reflections and ambient occlusion. These are developer-described options for No Man’s Sky, not specifications for other games in Sony’s sample. Sean Murray’s November 7, 2024 post.

For a specific title, use its PS5 Pro feature description and mode options rather than the general “enhanced” label as a performance promise. Look for the actual upgrade, whether a mode favors image quality or frame rate, ray-tracing support, the resolution or upscaling method, and any compatible-display requirement.
