Sony did not launch a separate, one-day Cyber Monday PS5 event in 2025. Instead, its PlayStation Black Friday promotion began on November 21 and continued at PlayStation Direct and participating retailers around Cyber Monday, which fell on December 1, 2025.
For U.S. shoppers, the main offers were a PS5 Digital Edition for $399.99, a standard disc PS5 for $449.99, and a PS5 Pro for $649.99. The clearest genuinely new console bundle was the Fortnite Flowering Chaos range. Sony also discounted the Ghost of Yōtei limited-edition bundle and continued the NBA 2K26 bundle, but those were not new Cyber Monday launches.
These offers are now historical and expired. This guide reconstructs what Sony actually offered, how much the discounts were worth after the August 2025 price increase, and which bundle made sense for different types of buyers.

What Sony actually launched for Cyber Monday 2025
The accurate description is: Sony’s 2025 PlayStation Black Friday deals carried into Cyber Monday. Sony announced the promotion on November 18, with deals starting November 21 across PlayStation Direct, PlayStation Store, PlayStation Gear, and participating retailers. The company did not announce a distinct Sony-only Cyber Monday console launch on December 1.
Retailers and deal sites continued to describe the offers as Cyber Monday deals. For example, Engadget was still reporting the $100 console discounts on December 2. That makes Cyber Monday a useful shopping date, but not the start of a separate promotion.
#1 Best Overall
- TRIFORCE TITANIUM 50 MM DRIVERS — Our cutting-edge proprietary design divides the driver into 3 parts for the individual tuning of highs, mids, and lows—producing brighter, clearer audio with richer highs and more powerful lows
- HYPERCLEAR CARDIOID MIC — An improved pickup pattern ensures more voice and less noise as it tapers off towards the mic’s back and sides, with the sweet spot easily placed at the mouth because of the mic’s bendable design
- ADVANCED PASSIVE NOISE CANCELLATION — Sturdy closed earcups fully cover the ears to prevent noise from leaking into the headset, with its cushions providing a closer seal for more sound isolation
- LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN WITH MEMORY FOAM EAR CUSHIONS — At just 240 g, the headset features thicker headband padding and memory foam ear cushions with leatherette to keep gaming in peak form during grueling tournaments and training sessions
- VOLUME WHEEL — Its on-headset control makes it convenient to adjust audio levels without having to fiddle with any system or program settings
Sony also warned that prices, products, availability, regions, retailers, and sales periods could differ. There was no single universal end date for every offer; stock and individual product deadlines controlled availability.
U.S. PS5 prices during the holiday sale
The table below compares the holiday prices with both Sony’s new U.S. recommended prices from August 21, 2025 and the prices that applied before the increase.

| PS5 Pro | $649.99 | $749.99 | $699.99 | $100 from current MSRP; about $50 from old MSRP | No | Performance-focused players with suitable displays |
Sony’s August 2025 price announcement raised each of the three main U.S. PS5 prices by $50. Consequently, the phrase $100 off was technically correct against the current MSRP, but incomplete as a historical comparison. Each sale price was only approximately $50 below the pre-August price.
What the percentage discount really was
- The $449.99 disc PS5 was about 18% below its $549.99 post-increase MSRP.
- The $399.99 Digital Edition was 20% below its $499.99 post-increase MSRP.
- The $649.99 PS5 Pro was about 13% below its $749.99 post-increase MSRP.
This is why a broad claim such as up to 30% off should not be used as the standard description of the console sale. The official Sony announcement specified $100 hardware discounts; the larger figure may have applied to selected games, accessories, merchandise, or a retailer’s particular comparison price. It does not describe a uniform 30% reduction on PS5 consoles.
Fortnite Flowering Chaos: the genuinely new holiday bundles
The Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundles were the most clearly new console products associated with Sony’s 2025 holiday promotion. Sony said they would be available from November 21 in the U.S. and other supported regions, while supplies lasted. Epic’s support page provides additional information about the bundle timing and redemption requirements.
PS5 Digital Edition 825GB Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle — $399.99
This bundle contained:
- PS5 Digital Edition console.
- DualSense wireless controller.
- 825GB SSD.
- Fortnite Flowering Chaos voucher.
- Eight PlayStation-exclusive Fortnite cosmetic items.
- 1,000 V-Bucks.
- Astro’s Playroom pre-installed.
The included content was delivered digitally, not as a physical Fortnite game. The voucher required a PlayStation account and an internet connection for redemption. Sony and Epic described the contents as eight exclusive cosmetics with an estimated value of 5,000 V-Bucks, plus the additional 1,000 V-Bucks. The official announcement describes the cosmetic package collectively rather than providing a reliable item-by-item list, so buyers should use the official product listing and the voucher terms for the exact market-specific contents.

For someone who does not play Fortnite, the cosmetics and V-Bucks should not be treated as a $60 cash rebate: they are useful inside Fortnite and have no general cash value outside that ecosystem.

PS5 Disc Edition 1TB Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle — $449.99
The disc-based Fortnite bundle included:
- PS5 Disc Edition console with 1TB storage.
- DualSense wireless controller.
- Fortnite Flowering Chaos cosmetic voucher.
- 1,000 V-Bucks.
Its recommended price was $449.99, matching the standard disc PS5’s holiday price. The Fortnite content was therefore the effective added value rather than an additional hardware discount. Target listed the product with a November 21, 2025 street date, and Best Buy also carried a listing, although retailer stock and pricing could change.
The key choice between the two Fortnite versions was not the in-game content but the hardware. The $399.99 version was digital-only; the $449.99 version included a disc drive and 1TB of storage.
Ghost of Yōtei bundles: the strongest premium value
The Ghost of Yōtei limited-edition bundles were not newly launched for Cyber Monday. They were 2025 special-edition products that received a holiday discount, making them highly relevant to the shopping period.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteEach bundle included:
- A limited-edition PS5 Disc Edition console.
- A matching limited-edition DualSense controller.
- A digital voucher for the full game Ghost of Yōtei.
- Digital pre-order content, including an in-game mask and seven avatars.
The Gold version was sold through PlayStation Direct and selected retailers. The Black version was exclusive to PlayStation Direct. Both had a $599.99 list price and fell to approximately $499.99 during the holiday promotion, according to GamesRadar and GameSpot.
The vertical stand was sold separately. The game was supplied as a digital voucher, not a disc.
For a buyer who wanted Ghost of Yōtei, this was arguably the best themed-console value. It cost about $50 more than the $449.99 standard disc PS5 sale price while adding the game, a matching limited-edition controller, and special console hardware. A buyer who did not want the game or themed design was better served by the cheaper standard PS5.
NBA 2K26 bundle: an existing product, not a Cyber Monday debut
Sony introduced the NBA 2K26 PS5 bundle in select markets on September 5, 2025, well before Cyber Monday. It included a PS5 console, a DualSense controller, and a digital voucher for the NBA 2K26 Standard Edition.
During the holiday promotion, the disc-edition bundle was reported at approximately $449.99, down from $549.99. It should therefore be described as an existing 2025 bundle that continued into the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales period, not as a new Cyber Monday launch. The important practical detail is that NBA 2K26 was supplied as a digital voucher rather than a physical disc. Sony’s holiday gift guide included the bundle, while the original launch information is in Sony’s NBA 2K26 announcement.
What was not verified as a new 2025 PS5 bundle
Some coverage, including the Cybernews article associated with this topic, presented Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as new Cyber Monday-inspired PS5 bundles. The available primary evidence does not support that framing.
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: older limited-edition PS5 hardware and discounted Spider-Man products existed, but that is not evidence of a newly launched 2025 Cyber Monday console bundle.
- Horizon Forbidden West: an older PS5 Digital Edition bundle listing existed, but the listing does not establish a new 2025 holiday launch. See the Best Buy product page.
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: the game was available as a standalone PS5 title and later appeared in a physical Remake/Rebirth twin pack. Neither fact establishes a new Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PS5 console bundle. Relevant listings include the PlayStation Store page and GameSpot’s twin-pack coverage.
The correct distinction is important: a discounted game, an old console listing, and a new hardware SKU are three different things.

Which PS5 deal made sense?
Best budget choice: PS5 Digital Edition at $399.99
Choose the standard Digital Edition if the buyer purchases exclusively through the PlayStation Store, has no physical PS4 or PS5 collection, and wants the lowest upfront price. It was $50 cheaper than the disc model during the sale.
The trade-off is permanent dependence on digital purchases unless a compatible detachable disc drive is bought later. That drive costs extra, may be difficult to find during stock shortages, and should not be assumed to be included just because a retailer calls both systems a PS5 Slim. Digital buyers also give up the ability to buy used discs, borrow games, resell finished games, or use physical Blu-ray media.
Best flexible choice: standard PS5 Disc Edition at $449.99
The extra $50 was worthwhile for buyers with physical games, anyone who shops used or discounted discs, and households that want resale and borrowing flexibility. It was also the safer choice for someone upgrading from a PS4 disc library.
The disc model was not merely a different storage configuration. Its built-in drive changed how games could be bought and played. Confirm that a listing explicitly says Disc Edition and check the storage capacity before ordering.
Best Fortnite value: choose the edition matching the player’s hardware needs
Both Fortnite Flowering Chaos versions added cosmetics and 1,000 V-Bucks at the same effective console prices as the ordinary holiday models. The digital version was the better low-cost option; the disc version was the better long-term option for someone who might buy physical games later.

Best themed bundle: Ghost of Yōtei at approximately $499.99
This was the strongest choice for a fan who wanted the game and valued limited-edition hardware. The bundle’s roughly $50 premium over the standard disc console was modest relative to the included game and matching controller.

- Clear Sound Transmission Mic: Featuring a cardioid (unidirectional) microphone, this gaming headset enables precise directional sound pickup—it filters side/rear ambient noise, locks front sound sources within a 120° pickup angle for controllable range, and delivers pure, clear sound transmission, perfect for in-game calls and voice chat.
- Ergonomic Key Layout: The mute button and volume wheel of this gaming headset boast an ergonomic layout—fitting hand movement naturally, easy to locate by touch, minimizing misoperations, comfortable to adjust, reducing fatigue in extended use, never disrupting your gaming or calls.
- Design Fit for Long Wear: Our over-ear gaming headset’s earcups last over 2 years—surpassing typical durability—with full ear coverage, memory foam padding, and breathable leather, ensuring all-day comfort free from pressure or sweat.
- Anti-Tangling Braided Cable: This gaming headphones feature a braided cable and 1.5m length—the braided cable resists stretching/wear and avoids tangling for durability; 1.5m enables free desk movement, fits devices well, no tripping—ideal for smooth, hassle-free gaming.
It was not the best value for a buyer indifferent to Ghost of Yōtei or special-edition designs. The included game was a voucher, and the vertical stand was separate.
Best performance option: PS5 Pro at $649.99
The PS5 Pro was the premium choice for buyers with a suitable 4K display who cared about enhanced graphics, higher image quality, or more consistent performance in supported games. It was not simply a larger-storage version of the standard PS5.
At $649.99, it cost $200 more than the discounted standard disc PS5. The Pro did not include a built-in disc drive, a bundled game in its base configuration, or a vertical stand. Buyers who need discs must budget for the separate drive, and buyers who want the console upright must budget for the stand as well. Without a capable 4K or high-refresh-rate display, the extra cost is harder to justify.

Although these particular promotions have expired, the same checks apply whenever an old deal page or marketplace listing resurfaces:
- Confirm the seller. Check whether the item is sold and shipped by the retailer or by a third-party marketplace seller.
- Check the condition. Make sure it is new rather than used, refurbished, open-box, or a returned item.
- Identify the exact hardware. Confirm Disc Edition versus Digital Edition, storage capacity, and model region.
- Read the bundle contents. A digital voucher is not a physical game, and a cosmetic pack is not a second controller.
- Check region restrictions. Game and promotional codes may require a PlayStation account from a particular country or region. Verify the terms before purchase.
- Check stock and delivery terms. A page can remain visible after the main retailer sells out, then switch to a different seller or price.
- Do not count digital currency as cash savings. V-Bucks and Fortnite cosmetics have value primarily to someone who plays Fortnite.
Imported regional consoles and bundles deserve extra caution. The plug, warranty, account region, voucher eligibility, and language or rating details may differ from a U.S. product even when the product photo looks identical.

Final verdict on Sony’s Cyber Monday PS5 deals
The best overall deal depended on the buyer:
- Best budget: PS5 Digital Edition at $399.99.
- Best flexibility: standard PS5 Disc Edition at $449.99.
- Best Fortnite purchase: either Fortnite Flowering Chaos edition at the matching console-sale price, depending on whether a disc drive was wanted.
- Best themed bundle: Ghost of Yōtei at approximately $499.99 for buyers who wanted the game and limited-edition hardware.
- Best performance: PS5 Pro at $649.99 for buyers with a suitable high-end display and room in the budget for a separate disc drive or stand.
The headline claim needed one important correction: Sony’s promotion was a Black Friday event that remained available through Cyber Monday, not a separate Cyber Monday launch. The Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundles were genuinely new, while Ghost of Yōtei and NBA 2K26 were existing 2025 bundles that participated in the holiday sale. Finally, the $100 savings should be read against Sony’s August price increase; compared with the pre-increase U.S. prices, the effective reduction was approximately $50.
Frequently Asked Questions
Did Sony launch a separate PS5 Cyber Monday sale in 2025?
No. Sony announced PlayStation Black Friday Deals 2025 on November 18, with the promotion beginning November 21. The main PS5 offers continued through Cyber Monday on December 1 at Sony and participating retailers, but Sony did not announce a separate one-day Cyber Monday console event.
What was the cheapest PS5 during Cyber Monday 2025?
In the U.S., the PS5 Digital Edition was generally $399.99. The Fortnite Flowering Chaos Digital Edition bundle was also $399.99 and added Fortnite cosmetics and 1,000 V-Bucks, but it remained a digital-only console.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Did the Fortnite PS5 bundle include a physical Fortnite game?
No. The bundle included a digital voucher for Fortnite Flowering Chaos content, along with 1,000 V-Bucks. The voucher required a PlayStation account and internet access for redemption. The benefits were digital rather than a physical game disc.
Was the PS5 Pro discounted to $649.99 with a disc drive and stand included?
The PS5 Pro was generally $649.99 during the U.S. holiday promotion, down from its $749.99 post-August MSRP. It did not include a built-in disc drive or a vertical stand; both were separate purchases.
Were Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth new Cyber Monday PS5 bundles?
That claim was not verified by Sony’s official 2025 announcement. Older hardware listings, standalone game discounts, and physical game packages may have been conflated with new console bundles. The clearly new holiday console bundle named by Sony was Fortnite Flowering Chaos.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Sony’s PS5 holiday promotion began as Black Friday on November 21, 2025, and carried into Cyber Monday rather than launching anew on December 1. The U.S. headline prices were $399.99 for the Digital Edition, $449.99 for the disc PS5, and $649.99 for the PS5 Pro. Fortnite Flowering Chaos was the clearest new bundle; Ghost of Yōtei was the best premium value for fans; and the advertised $100 hardware saving was effectively about $50 compared with the pre-August 2025 prices.
