What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Yes—Soulframe supports online co-op in its current Preludes pre-alpha. In Preludes 16, players can use Revive Shrines to matchmake into a party above ground or in dungeons. A community guide reports parties of up to four, but Digital Extremes’ update does not state an official player limit.
How to join a co-op party
- Find a Revive Shrine. In Preludes 16, shrines let Envoys matchmake into a party either above ground or in a dungeon. Digital Extremes announced the feature in its Preludes 16 update.
- Use the shrine matchmaking option. Matchmaking lets you rally with other players and explore together. If you want to play with specific friends, the community guide also describes joining a host’s world; it does not provide a current official step-by-step invitation path.
- Coordinate around the host’s world. According to the community guide, clients join the host’s world, where the group can take on activities together. It also reports that foes scale with the number of Envoys in the party.
Older guides that say matchmaking is unavailable describe an earlier state. The Preludes 16 announcement added shrine matchmaking, so manual grouping is no longer the only documented way to form a party.

How many players can play together?
Soulframe Italia’s community guide reports a maximum of four players: one host and up to three clients. Digital Extremes’ Preludes 16 announcement confirms matchmaking but does not specify party size, so treat four as a community-reported limit rather than an officially confirmed cap.
What co-op includes—and what to watch for
Exploration and activities
The official update describes using shrine matchmaking to explore together, both above ground and in dungeons. The community guide adds that the host’s world is the shared setting for the group.

Fables and progression
The community guide cautions that playing Fables in co-op may cause bugs, require replaying content, or result in missed rewards. Digital Extremes’ reviewed official pages do not confirm those specific problems. Check the latest patch notes before relying on co-op for a Fable or its rewards; Preludes is an evolving pre-alpha and behavior can change between updates.
Text and voice chat
The community guide describes text chat and push-to-talk voice chat for party members. A microphone headset may be useful if you want voice communication, but it is not a stated requirement for co-op.
