Space Marine 2 Patch 12.0, the Techmarine Update, launched on February 26, 2026. It added the Techmarine class, the Disruption PvE mission, new weapons, gameplay options and customization features. Patch 12 is no longer the latest update: Steam’s official announcements list Patch 15 as released on October 1, 2026. This guide covers Patch 12 as it shipped, not the later patches.
What did Space Marine 2 Patch 12.0 add?
Patch 12 introduced the Techmarine as the game’s seventh playable class at the time, added the Disruption PvE map, and expanded weapons, mission equipment, private-match options and customization. It also included optional Season Pass 2 cosmetics and a Chapter Voice Pack. The class and mission are gameplay additions; they should not be confused with the separately described cosmetic and voice-pack content.
The official Patch 12.0 notes date the update to February 26, 2026. The class is playable in both PvE Operations and PvP Eternal War.
How does the Techmarine class work?
The Techmarine combines direct combat with automated fire support. Its backpack-mounted Servo-Gun fires while the player carries out other actions, including Gun Strikes, so it can contribute ranged damage without requiring the player to stop and aim it separately. The class’s signature melee weapon is the Omnissian Axe.

Servo-Gun and turret support
In PvE missions, Techmarines can locate and activate Tarantula sentry turrets. The sentries fire automatically to suppress enemies, but have limited ammunition. A Techmarine can reactivate a turret once it runs dry. The Game Director, in the official patch notes, reassured players that “turrets are still going to be very effective.”
Omnissian Axe and new Heroic weapons
The patch notes document heavy and charged attacks for the Omnissian Axe, along with post-test adjustments that made its attacks more responsive and increased the damage of Sweeping Whirl. Patch 12 also added three Heroic weapons:

On the Chaos side, the Techmarine appears as a Red Corsairs Warpsmith.
What is the new Disruption mission?
Disruption is a new PvE mission set in Avarax. Space Marines arrive to reinforce Cadian defenders who are being overwhelmed by Tyranids. The mission then moves into the lower city, where the squad fights Thousand Sons forces alongside a Dreadnought. The official notes describe the mission and its changes; it is distinct from the Techmarine’s availability in the PvP Eternal War mode.

What other gameplay and quality-of-life features are included?
Restorative Stimms
Restorative Stimms immediately restore a small amount of health and then replenish Contested Health over time.
Custom Stratagems and Battlefield Conditions
Custom Stratagems let players set up private PvE matches with selected Battlefield Conditions. Patch 12 added 21 Battlefield Conditions. Rewards are disabled in Custom Stratagem matches, according to the official patch notes.

Siege host migration
If a Siege server crashes, host migration allows the match to continue on another server from its saved state.

Patch 12 lets players share faces across PvE and PvP classes. It also adds a voice selector to the Edit Armour menu, giving players a way to choose among available character voices.

Which cosmetic and voice-pack content arrived with Patch 12?
The Raven Guard Champion Pack and Carcharodons Cosmetic Pack are Season Pass 2 cosmetic additions, rather than new classes or missions. Warhammer Community says Year 2 Season Pass owners receive the Raven Guard pack; other players can acquire it separately. Current prices and store terms are not established here, so check the relevant platform’s store for availability.
Chapter Voice Pack 1 adds more than 1,300 re-recorded voice lines for Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Black Templars, and includes three faces. These are optional customization additions, separate from the core Techmarine and Disruption gameplay features. Is the Techmarine Update free?
The official Patch 12 notes describe the Techmarine, Disruption and gameplay features as part of the update, not as standalone paid DLC. The official sources available here do not establish a complete platform-by-platform rollout matrix or current store pricing for optional cosmetic and voice-pack content. Check the applicable platform listing for any purchase-specific terms.
Is Patch 12 still the latest Space Marine 2 update?
No. Patch 12 is a historical update. Space Marine 2’s official Steam announcements list Patch 15 as released on October 1, 2026. Patch 15 is mentioned here only to establish that Patch 12 is no longer current; its contents are outside this guide’s scope. See the official Space Marine 2 Steam announcements for the later release context.
