To finish it, guide Mio and Zoe through three apple-gate puzzles, then work together through the hot-dog sequence. Mio’s fart ability and Zoe’s sling jump serve different movement roles, so follow the route for the named character.
Where to find Farmlife
Look for Farmlife in Chapter 2: Neon Revenge, within Streets of Neon. It is Side Story 2, not a main-story chapter. EA describes Side Stories as optional portals into unusual story worlds; its explanation is that “Side Stories are anomalies that occur as a consequence of Mio and Zoe being stuck in the same simulation.” EA’s introduction to Side Stories also gives a pig-themed example of the format.

Know Mio and Zoe’s movement abilities
- Mio: Jumps and launches forward with a fart ability.
- Zoe: Uses a spring-like sling jump to reach higher places.
The route below follows the character-specific directions in GAMERPILLAR’s Farmlife walkthrough, published March 9, 2025. It has not been independently tested here.
Get through the first apple gate
- At the start, send Mio up the smaller hay on the right and Zoe up the taller hay on the left.
- Jump over the fence together.
- In the final section, have Mio collect the green apple on the right side of the hay and Zoe collect the pink apple. The pair opens the gate.
Collect the second pair of apples outside the barn
After leaving the building, collect another green-and-pink apple pair to open the next barn.

Mio’s route to the pink apple
- Find the three hay-bale platforms lined up in a row.
- Wait for a bubble and use it to propel Mio upward onto the hay.
- Jump from bale to bale, using Mio’s fart ability to reach the pink apple.
Zoe’s route to the other apple
- Find the two silo towers on the left.
- Wait for a bubble to reach the shorter silo, then jump onto it.
- Use Zoe’s sling jump to reach the taller silo and collect its apple.
Use the spade to leave the barn
Inside the barn, move forward to the spade stuck in the wall. Use the character’s ability to reach it; the spade launches the player upward to a ledge and out of the barn.
Solve the third apple puzzle
Raise the hanging tomato basket for the green apple
- Mio uses the spade and fart ability to get up to the hanging tomato basket.
- Mio’s weight lowers the basket so Zoe can jump onto it.
- Mio jumps off to raise the basket. Zoe stretches and jumps from it to collect the green apple.
Launch Mio to the pink apple
- Find the shovel on the left and use it as a seesaw.
- Have Mio sit on the long end. Zoe sits near the short end, jumps, then drops onto the seesaw.
- The impact launches Mio upward. Use her fart ability to glide to the hay bale with the pink apple.
Cross the water
Go through the apple door and reach the apple baskets. Both players jump into a basket and float across the water to the other side.

Finish the sausage puzzle
The fruit basket drops Mio and Zoe into a meat grinder and transforms them into hot dogs. Work through the sequence in order:
- Turn on the grill: Press the grill button.
- Cook: Use the tongs to land on the grill.
- Add ketchup: At the ketchup bottle, one hot dog stands below while the other jumps on top to squeeze ketchup over both.
- Complete the story: Head to the hot-dog bun.
Farmlife trophy
The third-party Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap lists the Farmlife trophy “Huffing and Puffing” with the condition “Blow up the stone house in the Farmlife side story.” That guide does not explain how to trigger the event, so no specific directions for it are established here.

Playing Farmlife with a friend
Split Fiction is designed for two-player co-op. EA’s online play and Friend’s Pass guide says one owner can invite a partner to play online using Friend’s Pass. It lists PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and says cross-play works across those platforms. EA’s game page also lists Nintendo Switch 2 among purchase destinations; check EA’s current support information for platform-specific availability and requirements.
