Yes. 1047 Games officially launched Splitgate 2 on June 6, 2025, after its beta period. That was not the game’s final status: the developer announced a return to beta on July 22, then relaunched it as SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded on December 17, 2025.

So the date in the original announcement was real: the game did leave beta and launch. But June 6 was only one stage in its release history, not the last word on the game’s status.

Is Splitgate 2 still in beta?
The answer depends on which point in the release timeline you mean. The original game launched on June 6, returned to beta in July, and was later relaunched under the name SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded on December 17, 2025. In its December 4 announcement, 1047 Games presented Arena Reloaded as a free-to-play relaunch, not simply a continuation of the June launch label. Official Steam announcement feed
What changed in Arena Reloaded?
1047 Games framed the relaunch as a return to arena combat. The studio said it removed factions and abilities, rebuilt progression, restored a classic arena mode, and added maps and weapons. Those are the developer’s descriptions of its changes, rather than an independent assessment of how the game plays.

In a November 19, 2025 post about an earlier playtest, the studio reported that 90% of players enjoyed portal overloading and EMP mechanics.
