Splitgate 2 is now officially called SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded. 1047 Games says the game uses its kernel-level anti-cheat, RedKard, only while the game is running. The studio has described its formal esports work as limited so far; ranked 3v3 Takedown is an in-game competitive mode, not evidence of an active professional league. The latest update details in the available official sources are Update 2.2 from January 2026 and a Ranked Refresh from February 2026.
What is Splitgate 2 called now?
1047 Games’ current official source trail uses SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded, the name the game took after returning to beta in summer 2025. Its December 24, 2025 developer update described the re-emergence under that name. The game is free-to-play and developed and published by 1047 Games. “Splitgate 2” remains a useful way to identify the game in searches and older coverage, but it is its former identity in the current official sources cited here.
What anti-cheat does the game use?
1047 Games’ January 22, 2026 support FAQ says SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded uses RedKard, its own kernel-level anti-cheat, alongside other proprietary systems. The FAQ says RedKard runs only while the game is launched and closes when the game closes. Steam’s store listing also labels RedKard as kernel-level anti-cheat. [c01] [c03]

Those statements describe the developer’s published position and the store’s label; they do not independently establish how effective the system is or verify its technical implementation. The company’s Code of Conduct prohibits cheating and exploiting and directs players to report suspected violations through in-game reporting or the listed community channels. That is the reporting policy, not a measure of how often cheating occurs. Code of Conduct. [c09]
Does Splitgate have esports?
In its January 2026 FAQ, 1047 Games said it “haven’t done much in this space yet,” explaining that its focus was on making a fun game for players of all skill levels and inviting community feedback. That is the clearest current statement in the official sources about formal esports plans. [c01]

Three different things are easy to conflate:
- Ranked play: Arena Ranked is an in-game playlist with competitive rules. Its February 2026 refresh changed it to 3v3 Takedown with even starts. That change does not establish a tournament circuit. [c05]
- Community or creator events: 1047 Games said it hosted a $5,000 creator tournament to celebrate the game’s launch in 2025. This was a launch event, not evidence of a continuing league. [c07]
- Formal esports competition: An official handbook documents a Splitgate Pro Series and Challenger Series governed by 1047 Games and Logitech Esports Services, but it is dated August 10, 2022. It shows historical competition, not that those series remain active in 2026. [c08]
What changed in the latest updates?
The official sources detail a broader relaunch and two later competitive-content milestones. Update 2.2 shipped in January 2026; the Ranked Refresh followed in February.
