What was the Alpha 4.6 medical crisis event?
RSI described Clearing The Air as a limited-time event responding to a health crisis in Levski. In the game’s fiction, faulty air filters let a deadly fungus called Molina Mold spread through the station. The resulting illness, the People’s Ailment, was said to cause coughing, fatigue, chest pain, and bone lesions. The release notes said the death toll had reached double digits and the crisis had spread into Stanton, leading the UEE to mobilize contractors. These are fictional story details, not real-world medical information.
The event arrived with Alpha 4.6 LIVE build 4.6.0-LIVE.11135423. RSI’s Alpha 4.6 release notes called it a limited-time event starting with the release of 4.6 to LIVE.
What missions could players do?
RSI divided the event’s work into three divisions. Their tasks differed, but all contributed to the relief effort:

The release notes said all event phases were available from day one. They do not establish a ranking of the divisions by rewards or overall value.
How did players start Clearing The Air missions?
During the event, players accepted missions through the mobiGlas Contract Manager. RSI’s global events instructions describe the general process:

- Open mobiGlas and go to Contract Manager.
- Find the event mission offered by the appropriate contact and accept it.
- Follow the accepted contract’s instructions to complete the activity.
Contributions earned points toward the overall event goal, milestone activities, and division-specific rewards.
What were the milestone activities?
Milestone activities were hard-difficulty missions that unlocked after a division made enough progress. Each was available only once and offered a more specific story scenario than the regular division work. RSI’s examples ranged across Levski, Nyx, and Stanton, as shown in the table above.

Is the Star Citizen 4.6 medical event still available?
The official notes establish that Clearing The Air was limited-time, but they do not confirm whether it was later reactivated or whether its rewards can still be earned. The RSI patch index lists releases later than 4.6, including 4.10.1; that confirms 4.6 is not the latest listed patch, but it does not answer the event-availability question. Current access and reward status therefore remain unconfirmed by these official sources.

The release notes listed two event-specific problems at release: some Alliance Aid cargo-hauling missions could have missing cargo on freight elevators, and some hauling missions could award only one event point instead of the expected amount. These were release-era caveats; the notes do not establish whether they persisted or were fixed later.

Separately, RSI’s Alpha 4.6 notes reported more than 160 bug and crash fixes since 4.5.0, including 56 fixes originating from the Issue Council. Those are counts attributed to that release’s notes, not a general measure of Star Citizen’s stability.
