In Star Wars Outlaws, The Scavenger is an Akiva expert quest that awards a permanent Hydrorepulsor for Kay’s speeder. Complete The Droidsmith and two Temmin intel trails to start it. Temmin installs a temporary water upgrade first; to make it permanent, recover durasteel struts from Surat’s crew and return them to him near Myrra’s landing pad.
How to unlock The Scavenger
Finish the main quest The Droidsmith, then follow the two Temmin-related intel entries: “The Scavenger #1: Temmin’s Family” and “The Scavenger #2: Off Scrapping.” These trails lead to Temmin on Akiva. The quest sequence and route below are described in the Guides4Gamers walkthrough; Ubisoft’s official game page identifies the game but does not document this quest.

How to get the permanent Hydrorepulsor
1. Try Temmin’s temporary upgrade
Temmin initially fits a temporary Hydrorepulsor before you have the replacement struts. You can ride the speeder over water at this point, so continue the quest rather than treating the temporary installation as the finished upgrade. The ability is also referred to as the Speeder Surface Repulsor; its function is to let the speeder cross larger bodies of water and open routes that were previously inaccessible, as described by Game8’s upgrade guide.
2. Cross to the southern islands
Ride downriver toward the lake. On the northwest side, use the ramp to jump to the first island, then use the speeder’s speed boost to make the final crossing to the last island.

3. Follow the route to the shuttle
Use the grapple point to cross to the rocks, then descend into the ravine. Deal with the enemies in the outdoor area and cave, and continue through the narrow gap. You will see the shuttle leave.
4. Track the shuttle inland
Take the waiting speeder and head east across the lake toward the tunnel leading inland. ND-5 checks the shuttle’s landing location and marks it on your map.

5. Recover the durasteel struts
At the guarded shuttle site, make your way to the crate beside the shuttle and collect the struts. The walkthrough describes a stealth route using tall grass and whistling to draw guards away one at a time, with a grapple point providing access to the shuttle platform. These are route suggestions, not requirements; the objective is to reach the crate.
6. Return to Temmin
Find Temmin in Myrra near the landing pad and hand over the struts. He repairs the speeder, making the Hydrorepulsor permanent.

What the Hydrorepulsor changes
The upgrade lets Kay’s speeder travel across larger bodies of water. Its practical value is access: water crossings can connect areas and routes that the speeder could not reach before. The temporary installation lets you complete the island and shuttle portion of this quest; the durasteel struts and Temmin’s repair are what complete the permanent upgrade.
