Stardew Valley PC patch 1.6.15, announced on 20 December 2024, adjusted legendary fish pond roe production and average daily value, added a Junimo bundle button to fridge interfaces, and included performance optimizations and a broad set of fixes. It tuned the legendary-pond feature introduced in the earlier 1.6.9 update; it did not add that feature.
What’s in Stardew Valley update 1.6.15?
ConcernedApe described the update in the Stardew Valley Steam Community announcement on 20 December 2024: “The 1.6.15 patch is now available. This fixes a few lingering issues in Stardew Valley, balances some things, and adds some quality of life improvements.” The highlighted changes include:

- Legendary fish ponds: Ponds holding legendary fish produce roe much more often, increasing their average daily value. The notes do not give a percentage or a measured value.
- Fridge convenience: A Junimo bundle button was added to fridge and mini-fridge interfaces.
- Performance: The announcement lists performance optimizations but does not publish benchmark results or specify a percentage improvement.
- Giant-crop debris: A fix prevents debris from spreading beneath giant crops.
- Text filtering: Bad-word filtering was corrected in additional text boxes and now applies only on platforms that require it.
The fuller version history records more fixes across gameplay, multiplayer, crashes, localization, and technical issues. The five highlighted items above are not the entire change list.
Why legendary fish ponds changed
Update 1.6.9 had already added the option to put legendary fish in fish ponds, with one fish allowed per pond and legendary fish roe as a product. Patch 1.6.15 adjusted the output of that existing feature, rather than introducing legendary fish ponds. The official notes describe more frequent roe production and higher average daily value qualitatively; they do not establish a precise production rate or earnings figure.

Release date and platform versions
The PC release was announced on 20 December 2024. The later console update used a different build number: ConcernedApe announced console version 1.6.15.1 on 12 February 2025, explaining that it addressed console issues and synchronized console content with the latest PC content. The post was edited on 26 February 2025 to note that the Switch version was available too. See the official console announcement.
The version history distinguishes exact build numbers from platforms marked as equivalent to a version:
| Platform | Version-history label |
|---|---|
| PC (Windows, macOS, Linux) | 1.6.15 |
| Nintendo Switch | Equivalent to 1.6.15 |
| PS4 | Equivalent to 1.6.15 |
| Xbox One | Equivalent to 1.6.15 |
| Android | Equivalent to 1.6.15 |
| iOS | Equivalent to 1.6.15 |
| PS Vita | Older version line |
“Equivalent to 1.6.15” describes content/version alignment, not necessarily an identical build number. These entries document the platforms’ status in the cited version history; they should not be read as a live check of each platform’s current latest release.
