The Steam Autumn Sale ran from November 27 through December 4, 2024, and has ended. Its prices are historical, not live offers. Valve said thousands of games across genres and themes were discounted, so this shortlist highlights documented examples rather than claiming to rank the entire sale.
Which games stood out in the 2024 Steam Autumn Sale?
This retrospective shortlist reflects the limited sale details available for these titles. It weighs the documented historical price where one is available, how readers might use the game as a purchase, and how clearly the available information supports a recommendation. It is not a complete catalog or an objective ranking.
| Game | Historical sale information | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Balatro | Yahoo Tech reported a price of $13 against a $15 list price during the sale. This is a historical example; regional pricing and rounding may vary. | The cited comparison gives readers a concrete price reference, but does not establish a historic low. Check the current regional store listing before buying. |
| Palworld | Named by Yahoo Tech among its favorite sale games. Sale price, list price, and discount are not established here. | A contemporaneous recommendation, not a verified price comparison or a claim about current availability. |
| Helldivers 2 | Named by Yahoo Tech among its favorite sale games. Sale price, list price, and discount are not established here. | A contemporaneous recommendation, not a verified price comparison or a claim about current availability. |
The Balatro price and the Palworld and Helldivers 2 recommendations come from Yahoo Tech’s November 27, 2024 roundup, not Valve. The available information does not support comparing all three games by discount depth, editions, or platform requirements.
How to judge a Steam sale deal
A sale badge alone does not establish that a game is the best value. For a future purchase, compare the price in your region with the game’s usual price, confirm what an edition includes, and consider whether you want the full game or an add-on. A historic-low claim needs a reliable price-history record; none is established for these examples.

Steam’s seasonal-sale storefront uses tags, popularity, recommendations, and featured selections that refresh during the event. Those features can help surface games to browse, but storefront placement is merchandising—not an independent review score. This shortlist is intentionally narrower than Valve’s catalog-wide event description.
Sale dates and other event details
Valve announced the sale on November 27, 2024, and said it would run through December 4 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Valve described thousands of discounted games spanning genres and themes. The scale explains why any short list leaves out many titles; it does not establish an average discount or how much shoppers saved.
