A third-party listing attributes several in-game additions to the update, but an original historical changelog from SYBO was not located, so treat the details below as archive-reported notes.
What was added in the Copenhagen update?
The third-party version 2.34.0 listing reports these additions and changes for the May 16, 2022 update:

- Season Hunt: Lightning Bolt.
- New character: Super Runner Jake.
- New board: Super Surfers 10th Birthday.
- New event: Super Runner City.
- Copenhagen visuals: graffiti and icons changed compared with the previous year’s Copenhagen visit.
- Music: two tracks were included; the listing does not identify them.
These details come from the third-party archive listing for version 2.34.0. It does not describe the visual changes in detail or name the music tracks.
Why the year matters
The May 16 date belongs to 2022 in the archive listing. A separate page with the same “Today (May 16)” wording recommends checking the installed build and the relevant app-store update text or in-game News panel; it does not establish a 2026 release or provide an authoritative historical changelog. That page should not be read as evidence that version 2.34.0 launched on May 16, 2026.

How to check your installed version
- Open Subway Surfers and check the version number shown by your installed game.
- Compare it with the update details in the app store for the same platform. The Google Play listing describes current, later update content, so it cannot confirm the historical notes for version 2.34.0.
- Check the game’s in-app News panel for an update entry relevant to your build. This is a verification route, not a substitute for an original historical changelog.
The available sources do not establish an exact release time, rollout geography, whether iOS and Android received identical notes, or any performance changes, bug fixes, or test results. SYBO describes Subway Surfers as a mobile game with monthly city destinations on its company website, but that description does not verify the specifics of this past update.
