If you are considering a copy or add-on, check its region and included content: releases differ, and the official store warns that compatibility across regions is not guaranteed.
What is Summer Lesson: Miyamoto Hikari?
Bandai Namco describes Summer Lesson as a virtual-reality character-interaction project. Its official site presents Miyamoto Hikari as one of the characters and describes a game space viewed in 360 degrees: Bandai Namco’s official Summer Lesson site. The title is also styled “Summer Lesson: Hikari Miyamoto” in some product materials.

The premise is a seven-day summer tutoring session. In Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia’s announcement, the player takes the role of Hikari’s private tutor during her summer vacation: Bandai Namco Holdings’ September 2016 newsletter.
How does the interaction work?
Bandai Namco says most conversation scenes do not require controller input and describes responding by nodding your head. The developer also highlights Hikari’s facial and voice expressions. These are descriptions of the intended experience from the publisher, not independent performance findings. The company summarized its aim in September 2016 as using VR to let users communicate with characters “as if they were really there.”

What hardware do you need?
The game is a PS4 and PlayStation VR experience. The official PlayStation Store listing for an option pack explicitly says PlayStation VR is required. It also says the Hikari game—or the separate Allison & Chisato title—is required to use that pack: PlayStation Store option-pack listing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which edition or add-on should you look for?
There is no single content list that applies to every regional release. Japanese and Asian editions differed, so identify the specific region and whether a listing is for the base game, a bundle, or a separate add-on before buying.
English-language Asian package bundle
A March 2017 announcement for an English-language Southeast Asian package described the base game and two DLC packs. The expanded contents documented in its reproduction are:
- Base game
- Second Feel
- Day Out
- Café extra scene
- Grand Fireworks extra scene
This is the content list for that documented bundle, not a promise that every physical or digital edition includes all five items. See the March 2017 package announcement reproduction for its edition context.
Separate option packs
An option pack is not the base game. The official PlayStation Store page identifies its prerequisite game and says the content is compatible with the official Asia version; compatibility with other regions is not guaranteed. Match the add-on’s store region to the game edition and account you intend to use.
Can you buy a physical copy?
Yes. Bandai Namco’s official site describes package and digital distribution, and the 2017 English-language Asian package announcement documents a physical release path. Those historical releases do not establish present-day stock, pricing, or seller reliability. For an imported copy, confirm the region, language, included content, and seller’s description rather than assuming a listing matches another edition.
