Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy, AtomTeam’s party-based RPG inspired by classic Infinity Engine games such as Baldur’s Gate, reached its full Steam release on December 16, 2025. The “Very Positive” label and 10% discount in launch coverage were December 2025 details, not current offers: Steam’s listing accessed October 8, 2026 showed “Mostly Positive” overall and “Mixed” recent reviews.
What is Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy?
Swordhaven is a single-player, isometric role-playing game set in Nova Drakonia. Steam describes it as a dialogue-heavy adventure with exploration, recruitable companions, crafting, and branching conversations. Its store page calls it a “love letter” to Infinity Engine classics, including Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 and Icewind Dale; it is not part of the Baldur’s Gate franchise.
The story follows a lone adventurer drawn into a conspiracy after receiving a mysterious artifact. Notebookcheck’s launch coverage also describes multiple regions and handcrafted quests. AtomTeam’s Steam listing advertises more than 85 hours of gameplay and over 200 NPCs; those are publisher-provided product-description figures, not independently verified totals.
Is Swordhaven out of Early Access?
Yes. Early Access began December 11, 2024, and the full Steam release followed on December 16, 2025, according to Steam’s Swordhaven listing. The game is therefore no longer an Early Access release.

How does combat and character progression work?
The game offers a choice between turn-based combat and real-time combat with pause (RTwP), so players can select either a turn-by-turn pace or pause-and-command encounters. Character development is classless: the store description and Notebookcheck’s coverage describe building a character without choosing a fixed class.
That combination gives it recognizable old-school RPG touchstones, but the available descriptions establish the systems rather than proving how well they play. The sources do not provide an independent comparative verdict against Baldur’s Gate or other RPGs.

What do the review labels and launch discount mean?
Notebookcheck’s December 17, 2025 launch article reported “Very Positive” Steam reviews and a 10% launch discount, taking the listed price from $24.99 to $22.49 at that time. Both figures are historical launch coverage, not a statement of today’s rating or price.
On October 8, 2026, Steam showed “Mostly Positive” for all reviews (75% of 799) and “Mixed” for recent reviews (68% of 19). These are changing user-review snapshots. Steam also displayed a Korean-won price and a 30% promotion when accessed that day; this regional offer should not be treated as a universal price or a current deal.

Notebookcheck reported controller support, so a controller is optional rather than a stated requirement.
