When did Rhythm Festival come to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC?
The PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam versions launched November 7, 2024. The game had already released on Nintendo Switch in 2022. Bandai Namco described the newer-platform version as supporting up to 120 fps, which the publisher called a first for the series on home consoles; it also announced platform-exclusive collaboration songs and mini-characters. What is included in the game?
Rhythm Festival is a drum-based rhythm game set in Omiko City, featuring Don-chan and Kumo-kyun. Bandai Namco lists 76 songs in the base game, spanning genres such as anime, pop, and Vocaloid. Examples include “Gurenge,” “Feel Special,” and “Racing into the Night.” Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Bandai Namco Europe
Modes and player counts
The Xbox listing describes four named modes and gives these player limits. It says each player needs one controller; player limits and online options here refer to the Xbox listing, not necessarily every platform’s configuration.

How do the editions and song subscriptions differ?
The base game includes the 76-song library stated by the publisher. A paid Taiko Music Pass provides access to more than 700 additional songs, according to Bandai Namco. The digital Setlist Edition bundles the base game with three song collections: Anime Songs, Pops, and Vocaloid. Bandai Namco Europe labels that edition digital exclusive. Individual DLC packs are also listed on Xbox. Music Pass and DLC terms, included content, and storefront availability can vary by platform and region, so check the store for the edition you intend to buy. Are all Rhythm Festival DLC songs still available to buy?
No. In a notice dated May 28, 2026, Bandai Namco America said some Rhythm Festival DLC would be discontinued. The notice lists removals scheduled from February 27, 2025 through June 25, 2026. It says customers who purchased the affected DLC can re-download it and continue using it in-game. Because the notice concerns specific content and store availability can differ by region, check your platform’s local store before purchasing rather than assuming every song pack is still on sale. HORI identifies the supported product as model MBS-018E, a wired, licensed controller supplied with a pressure-sensitive pad, two drumsticks, and a stand. The game is sold separately. This compatibility evidence applies to the Xbox/Windows model; it does not establish that this controller works with PS5 or Switch.
