Official island guides document examples such as Wild Baboon Spirits, Cursed Crabs, and Cursed Sailors, with strength values and associated artifacts. The guides reviewed are not a complete enemy index, so the examples below should not be read as the full roster.
What are enemies in Taonga?
Taonga’s official game overview describes a free browser farming game that includes island exploration, quests, mini-games, and battles. It says players use Nature, Fire, and Water powers in mini-games and combat. Enemies are encountered in specific areas, and the official support guides describe them island by island rather than in one comprehensive roster.
Which enemies are listed in official island guides?
The following examples come from Taonga Player Support guides. Strength is the value stated in each guide; it is an in-game statistic, not a universal measure of how difficult an enemy is. “Associated artifact” reflects the guide’s listing and does not establish that the item is required to win.
| Island or area | Enemy | Guide-listed strength | Associated artifact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Island of the Oracles | Wild Baboon Spirits | 54 | Knobby Cudgel |
| Island of the Oracles | Wild Baboon Leader | 80 | Knobby Cudgel |
| Pirate Cove | Cursed Crabs | 60 | Harpoon |
| Pirate Cove | Chieftain of the Cursed Crabs | 85 | Harpoon |
| Treacherous Reefs | Cursed Sailors | 64 | Lamp Against Evil Spirits |
The Island of the Oracles guide lists both baboon enemies and their Knobby Cudgel artifact. The Pirate Cove guide lists the Cursed Crabs and their Chieftain with the Harpoon; it also includes defeating the Chieftain in the island’s objectives. The Treacherous Reefs guide lists Cursed Sailors alongside the Lamp Against Evil Spirits.

How should you prepare for an enemy encounter?
Check the guide for the area you are exploring
Use the official guide for the specific island to check its objectives and the enemy or artifact information it documents. The available guides do not establish a single ranking that predicts difficulty across islands.
Restore strength when a natural grotto is available
Taonga Player Support’s Secret Worlds guide advises looking for a natural grotto to restore strength before a battle. It also notes that a battle can begin when strength is not full, so do not assume an encounter will wait until you are fully restored.

Treat battle costs as area-specific
A separate walkthrough for the Bottomless Waterfall describes bare-hand strikes that cost 10 energy each and banishing lamps available during battle for 25 diamonds. Those figures apply to that walkthrough; the page does not establish them as universal costs or tactics for every Taonga enemy. See the Bottomless Waterfall walkthrough for that area’s details.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is this the complete Taonga enemy list?
No complete current roster is established by these sources. The official pages are island guides, and the independent Insider Gaming Taonga Enemies guide is secondary; the reviewed material does not show that its list is comprehensive or current. Use the examples above as documented opponents, not as every enemy in the game.

- A LEGACY GAME WHERE YOUR ISLAND IS TRULY YOURS — Each player has their own personal double-sided gameboard representing their own island. Over 24 episodes, you build it up by placing tiles, applying stickers, and writing directly on the board. No two islands will ever look the same.
- 24 EPISODES ACROSS 8 SEALED CHAPTERS — The game unfolds through 8 sealed envelopes, each containing new rules, stickers, and materials that permanently change your island as the story progresses. Three episodes form a chapter; each chapter plays in about 90 minutes. Open envelopes only when it's time.
- COMPETITIVE TILE-PLACEMENT STRATEGY — Each round, all players simultaneously place the same revealed tile on their own boards. Score points by placing houses on beaches, building farms, villages, and fortifications, and connecting paths from jungle statues to the sea. The best placement decisions win.
- A MYSTERY TO UNCOVER — The story of your island spans from your first arrival to the solution of a final mystery. Progress circles track your cumulative performance across all 24 episodes — the overall winner isn't decided until the very last one.
- PLAY IT FOREVER WITH THE ETERNAL GAME — The back of each gameboard features a standalone replayable version that can be played anytime with new players. Designed by Reiner Knizia, creator of Keltis (Spiel des Jahres 2008) and My City (nominated for Game of the Year 2020).
