Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate launched on Nintendo Switch on July 17, 2024. Super Evil Megacorp announced the Switch release in April 2024, when it said the game would arrive “this July.”
When does Splintered Fate come to Switch?
It is already available: Nintendo lists July 17, 2024, as the Nintendo Switch release date. The “this July” wording came from Super Evil Megacorp’s announcement on April 19, 2024, and is now historical. Nintendo’s Switch listing provides the release date; the publisher’s announcement gave the original timing.
What kind of game is it?
Splintered Fate is a roguelike action game about rescuing Splinter from the Foot Clan. Runs change through randomized room layouts, power-ups, and boss modifiers, while players build up the four Turtles’ abilities. Nintendo describes the action as fast-paced and notes that no two runs are the same.
In its April 2024 announcement, Super Evil Megacorp called it “a co-operative roguelike” combining a progressive narrative with action combat. The company also said at the time that the game included four New York City locations; that was an announcement-era description, not a definitive count of locations in the expanded game today.

Can you play Splintered Fate co-op?
Yes. Nintendo’s U.S. Switch listing says one to four players can play on a single system, and one to four can play online. Online play requires a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. Nintendo lists the Switch download at 1.3 GB; that figure is the current listing value and may change.
Is Splintered Fate on Switch 2?
Yes. Nintendo Australia lists a Switch 2 edition, with improved frame rates and resolution, plus support for GameShare and GameChat. The listing says one to four players can play. Online features can require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership, and GameChat has additional requirements; consult the Australian listing for its region-specific conditions. Nintendo lists the Switch 2 download at 3 GB, a figure that may change.

Nintendo also lists a Switch 2 upgrade pack alongside the Switch version and Switch 2 selection on its U.S. product page. Check the relevant eShop listing for the current edition, upgrade details, and availability in your region before buying.

The game’s content has grown since its Switch debut. The publisher’s news index describes King’s Gambit as a free update that completes the main story, and records paid DLC for Slash and a Samurai Armor Pack. Nintendo’s U.S. listing also includes DLC entries for Casey Jones, Metalhead, Alopex, and Slash. Prices, bundles, and platform availability can change, so confirm the current store listing before purchase.

The publisher also records a Deluxe Edition retail release in 2025 and a July 2026 announcement of a Nintendo Switch 2 physical edition. Those announcements establish the editions’ place in the release history, not current stock at any specific retailer.
