Is the missing-DLL message dangerous, and is the file safe to download?
The message is an application startup failure, not a diagnosis of malware. The safe response is to obtain the expected file from the TeknoMW3 launcher or a legitimate project package and to verify the base game through Steam. 2. Restore the TeknoMW3 files with the project launcher

5. Recheck the loader’s expected file and hash
The project loader expects the specific teknomw3.dll identified by MD5 fa61fa41dca866f57c4eb7d189a937c6. If the file exists but the loader still reports it as missing, the issue may be a wrong path, a mismatched build, or a failed hash check rather than a literal absence.

Those names identify a different dependency family. The TeknoMW3 wiki points to the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable x86 package for MSVCRT.dll or MSVCP120.dll errors. That recommendation does not establish that the package contains teknomw3.dll, and installing it will not correct a loader message that specifically says Cannot find teknomw3.dll.
Read the complete dialog carefully, including the filename and application named in it. Install the x86 runtime only when the error is one of those Visual C++ names and obtain it from Microsoft’s official distribution. When should I run DISM and SFC on Windows 11 or 10?

Why does the error return after I appear to fix it?
