Its 20 W output, built-in storage and charging conveniences suit trips where you want the console and battery together; its considerable bulk is the main tradeoff. This is the original model, SKU ENA001fqSA-V1, not the later Charging Case Pro.
What comes with the original Belkin case?
Belkin’s product page describes a multi-compartment protective case, a removable BoostCharge Power Bank 10K with a battery-level display, and a 20 cm right-angled USB-C-to-USB-C cable. The case has a USB-A port and a USB-C port, and a groove that lets the console sit for tabletop play while charging.

For games and travel accessories, the case includes game-card storage; BGR describes its flap as holding up to 12 cartridges. Belkin also lists a hidden compartment for an AirTag, which is not included. BGR and Engadget both note the polyester exterior and brushed-velvet lining, as well as the extra storage and bulky form factor.
Charging capacity: useful backup, not a guaranteed number of full charges
Belkin specifies a 10,000 mAh battery and 20 W output for this original case. Its claim of “up to 1.5 recharges” is a manufacturer-stated maximum, not a promise that every Switch 2 will receive one and a half full charges. Belkin says actual results vary; the energy a device receives is lower than the battery’s rated capacity and depends on conditions.

Engadget likewise describes the output as up to 20 W and notes lower real-world output to the console in its review context. The removable bank can also charge compatible devices, so it is not limited to use inside the case. Its display makes the remaining battery level visible without relying only on an estimate from the console.
How protective is it, and how much space does it take?
BGR and Engadget describe a secure console fit and protective construction. Belkin lists the case dimensions as 297 × 155 × 64 mm. Reviewers identify bulk as the principal downside: the case combines the console’s protective shell, extra compartments and a 10,000 mAh power bank, so it takes more room than a basic carrying case.

That tradeoff is practical rather than purely negative. One integrated unit keeps the console, cable, games and removable battery together, but it is less appealing if you want the smallest possible bag or already carry a separate power bank. A case-plus-bank setup may be more modular; compare the combined weight and cost, and consider whether you want the battery secured alongside the console or available separately.

Belkin’s later Charging Case Pro is a separate design. Its reported 30 W charging and redesigned bank attachment do not apply to the original model reviewed here.

Is the original case worth it?
It makes the most sense for a Switch 2 owner who regularly travels with the console and values having charging, cartridge storage and protective carrying in one package. The case’s display, right-angle cable, tabletop charging groove and removable bank add convenience without requiring the battery to remain attached to the console.

It is a weaker fit if minimizing bag space is the priority. BGR and Engadget cited $69.99 during their earlier reviews. Belkin’s page displayed $59.49, reduced from $69.99, when accessed on October 8, 2026; that listing is time-sensitive, so check the price before purchase. Belkin lists a two-year warranty.

Charging and care
Nintendo’s EU dock-set support document instructs owners in that region to use the Nintendo AC adapter NGN-01 and USB-C cable BEE-011 to charge the console and accessories. It also cautions against liquid exposure, excessive force on cables and unsuitable temperatures. The adapter guidance is specific to Nintendo’s EU document; check the instructions for your market rather than assuming the regional accessories are identical.
