What is included in Tetris Forever?
Digital Eclipse describes the collection as having “more than 15 playable classic games from the series’ history.” It also includes Tetris Time Warp, a new mode that lets up to four players move between Tetris eras in real time, with different visual styles and mechanics along the way. The official Tetris product page likewise describes more than 15 classic games and identifies Tetris Time Warp as the all-new game.

The collection spans different periods and experiments in the series. Named examples include the multiplayer cult favorite Tetris Battle Gaiden, Super Bombliss, and a recreation of the 1984 Electronika 60 version. These are examples, not a complete game-by-game roster; the published product pages do not provide an exhaustive list.
Is the documentary included?
Yes. Documentary footage is included in the game; the sources do not establish a separate documentary release. Digital Eclipse says the collection includes over 90 minutes of new documentary footage exploring Pajitnov and Rogers’ lifelong friendship and creative partnership. The official Tetris page describes the featurettes as more than an hour. Those are the publishers’ respective descriptions, not a single confirmed exact runtime.

The footage gives the playable collection a historical narrative, while the games themselves let players experience how Tetris changed across versions. The two parts are presented together in Tetris Forever.
What changed after launch?
Digital Eclipse added Welltris, Pajitnov’s follow-up to Tetris, in an update published December 20, 2024. The developer framed it as a take on “3D Tetris” that combines familiar two-dimensional gameplay with three-dimensional thinking. This is a dated update note, not a complete statement of the current roster or the latest build.

The same update recorded control-remapping support for all four players in Tetris Time Warp and for the MS-DOS, Electronika 60, and Apple II games on all platforms. It also reported a Nintendo Switch audio-stuttering fix for some games: the issue was tied to Rewind, which was disabled in certain games. Digital Eclipse said restoration of that feature might be investigated later, so the post should not be taken as confirmation of present-day behavior.

Digital Eclipse lists Tetris Forever for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, and says it is available both digitally and physically. That makes the physical edition of Tetris Forever for Nintendo Switch a valid format to look for, but check the platform and edition on the specific listing before buying.
