For The Battle Cats version 15.6.1, the strongest practical picks are Miko Mitama, Kasli the Bane, Kasli the Scourge, Kasa Jizo and D’arktanyan among Uber Rares; Apple, Swimmer, Bath and Fencer among Super Rares; Swordsman, Archer, Psychocat and Killer among Rares; and Dom, Valkyrie and Miyamoku Musashi among Special Cats. Superfeline is the standout Normal Cat. Treat these as shortlists rather than an official power order: the best Cat is the one whose traits, range, cost and abilities answer the stage you are playing.
What is the current Battle Cats tier list?
The October 2026 snapshot covers version 15.6.1. SS indicates the leading examples within a rarity, while S identifies the next group of broadly useful units. These labels are editorial rankings, not an in-game or publisher-issued table, and they can change when balance updates, new forms or new units arrive.

The list is deliberately selective. More than 300 units exist, so a short tier list cannot represent every viable Cat or every stage-specific counter.
Who are the best Cats for each rarity?
| Rarity | SS examples | S examples |
|---|---|---|
| Uber Rare | Miko Mitama; Kasli the Bane; Kasli the Scourge; Kasa Jizo; D’arktanyan | The cited October lists emphasize different Uber selections, so no single S group is treated as canonical. |
| Super Rare | Apple Cat; Swimmer Cat; Bath Cat; Fencer Cat | Sushi Cat; Nerd Cat; Kotatsu Cat; Delinquent Cat; Surfer Cat |
| Rare | Swordsman Cat; Archer Cat; Psychocat; Killer Cat | Salon Cat; Witch Cat; Vacation Queen |
| Special | Dom Cat; Valkyrie Cat; Miyamoku Musashi | The Cat God; Bahamut Cat; Ururun Wolf |
| Normal | Superfeline | — |
The Uber examples above come from Gamermovil’s October 24, 2026 version-15.6.1 list. Pocket Gamer’s October 18, 2026 guide independently gives the same detailed Super Rare, Rare, Special and Normal SS/S groups.

How should I use the tier labels?
Start with the stage’s enemy traits and win condition, then use the tier list to choose among Cats that can perform the required job. A high-ranked Uber is not automatically the correct deployment.
Match the job to the stage
- Area damage: choose units that can hit groups efficiently.
- Single-target damage: use a specialist when one durable enemy is the main threat.
- Negative-effect immunity: prioritize Cats that resist or ignore the stage’s disabling effects.
- Trait coverage: a lower-rarity Cat with the right target trait can outperform a higher-ranked generalist.
- Economy and timing: deployment cost, recharge and range determine whether a unit can be fielded often enough to matter.
Rankings commonly consider damage output, survivability, range, utility, trait coverage, deployment cost and the gains provided by True Forms, talents and Ultra Forms. A placement may therefore assume an upgrade path that a new player has not unlocked.

Why do Battle Cats tier lists disagree?
Different lists use different dates, rules and unit pools. Neko Optimizer’s cumulative catalogue, fetched October 17, 2026, separates Ultra Forms and Ultra Talents and places units such as Lunos, Phono and Kasli the Bane at the top. Gamermovil’s October list highlights a different set of Uber examples. Neither source is a canonical ranking.

Disagreement can also come from update timing, whether forms are counted, and whether collaboration or limited units are included. A list that omits a unit is not necessarily calling it weak.
What availability limits should I know about?
Uber Rares usually come from capsules, events, holiday campaigns or collaborations, making specific targets difficult to obtain. The cited guides omit many collaboration units because availability can depend on region; Pocket Gamer also leaves out PC-exclusive units. Read those omissions as scope decisions, not a verdict on performance.
Because capsule schedules and event pools rotate, build a roster around Cats you actually own instead of waiting indefinitely for one name on a list.

Which Normal Cats still matter?
Normal Cats remain important when a stage imposes rarity restrictions or when you need inexpensive, repeatable production. Their value is often role-based rather than tier-based.
- Cat: a 75-cost, spammable meatshield for absorbing hits.
- Tank Cat: a sturdier low-cost blocker for holding a line.
- Gross Cat: a cost-effective mid-range attacker.
- Superfeline: a Relic-focused rusher and the leading Normal example in the cited list.
How do I turn this list into an upgrade plan?
- Identify the stage’s traits and hazards. Check whether you need area damage, single-target damage, range, a blocker or immunity.
- Filter your collection by rarity and role. Start with an SS or S candidate only if it performs the needed job.
- Check the required form. Confirm whether the recommendation assumes a True Form, Ultra Form or talents you cannot yet access.
- Build a low-cost core. Pair damage dealers with meatshields and economy-friendly units rather than filling every slot with expensive attackers.
- Test and adjust. If a unit cannot reach enemies, deploy in time or survive the stage’s effects, replace it with a lower-ranked counter that fits the mechanics.
What is the practical verdict for version 15.6.1?
Use the SS names as a starting shortlist, not a universal order. Uber Rares offer exceptional upside when you own the right one, but Super Rares, Rares, Specials and Normals often provide cheaper, more accessible counters and remain essential for restrictions. Re-evaluate your choices whenever a stage’s traits, forms or availability differ from the assumptions behind a list.

What does SS mean on a Battle Cats tier list?
SS is a shorthand for the leading recommendations inside that rarity on that particular list. It is not an official grade, and an SS unit can still be a poor choice when its attack type or trait coverage does not fit the stage.

Why is there no single definitive Uber Rare ranking?
Uber comparisons change with the date, included forms and unit pool. Some lists include limited or collaboration Cats while others exclude them, so two current-looking rankings can legitimately highlight different units.

Not automatically. A readily available Rare or Super Rare with the correct trait targeting, cost and range can solve a stage more reliably than an unformed Uber that does not match its enemies.
When should I revisit this tier list?
Recheck it after a version update, a new True or Ultra Form, or a major capsule or collaboration rotation. Those changes can alter both a unit’s performance and whether you can obtain it.
