What is the offline status of each game?

Ubisoft first said on September 11, 2024, that it was exploring solutions and confirmed offline modes for both games to support long-term access. That was a commitment, not a launch schedule. The subsequent The Crew 2 release fulfilled the commitment for that game; it does not establish that Motorfest has also gained offline play.

Can I play The Crew 2 offline?
Yes. Ubisoft’s Hybrid Mode lets you select online or offline play, and the game automatically starts offline if it detects no internet connection. Offline mode keeps the core game experience available, but it does not reproduce every connected feature.
What is unavailable or limited offline?
Ubisoft identifies multiplayer activities such as Summits and Live Battle, leaderboards, ghosts and world records, user-created content, the Far & Beyond Shop, and community features as unavailable offline. The launch information also notes that some online-only achievements and Ubisoft Connect actions cannot be completed offline. Claims, rewards, or eligible purchases may need to be handled online before exporting progress.

Offline access is therefore a separate local mode with defined limits, not a promise that every online activity, item, reward, or achievement will work without a connection.
How do I play The Crew 2 offline?
- Connect online and prepare your progress. Handle claims, rewards, and eligible purchases that need an online connection before you export.
- Export your online progress to create a local offline save. Ubisoft describes the offline file as separate from your online save.
- Choose offline mode in Hybrid Mode, or disconnect. If the game detects no internet connection, it can launch offline automatically.
Take care when exporting again: a new export updates the offline save by overwriting it, including any progress made only offline since the previous export. Offline progress does not flow back into the online save, so the two files cannot be treated as one freely synchronized save.

Does The Crew Motorfest have an offline mode?
The available announcements do not establish that Motorfest offline mode has launched. Ubisoft’s September 2024 statement confirmed a plan to provide offline modes for both Motorfest and The Crew 2, but it did not specify delivery dates. The later evidence cited here confirms The Crew 2’s release, not Motorfest’s.

What does the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement say?
Ubisoft’s July 8, 2026 announcement for The Crew Motorfest on Nintendo Switch 2 says an internet connection is required to play. The edition became available digitally and in physical retail on October 8, 2026. A physical copy is not an offline-play solution: the stated online requirement still applies.

That requirement is specific to the Switch 2 announcement. It should not be assumed to describe the PlayStation, Xbox, or PC editions without platform-specific evidence. The sources cited here do not show that Motorfest offline mode has been cancelled, nor do they provide a confirmed release date.

No confirmed date is established by the announcements cited here. Ubisoft’s 2024 commitment said to stay tuned for more news but did not give a timetable; the July 2026 Switch 2 announcement still states an online requirement. Until Ubisoft provides a dated update for the relevant platform, Motorfest’s offline-mode timing remains unconfirmed.
