These are Season 2 launch details—not a guide to the game’s current season or balance.
What map did Season 2 add?
Embark’s Update 2.0.0 introduced SYS$HORIZON, a glitchy, colorful cityscape dotted with floating geometric shapes. The arena also has a nighttime mode. Embark’s March 14, 2024 Season 2 patch notes describe the setting, but do not establish specific layout advantages or competitive strengths.

How does Power Shift work?
Power Shift is a casual two-team 5v5 mode built around escorting a physical platform through the arena. Players return after short respawns, and can switch contestants when they respawn, giving teams a chance to adjust their lineup as a match develops. As Dusty Gustafsson, CX Lead at Embark, put it in the launch notes: “Power Shift is our brand new two-team mode.”
That makes its central objective different from the familiar cash-focused format: both teams contest the moving platform, rather than simply pursuing a cashout. The launch sources describe this mode’s rules, not the game’s current mode roster.

Which weapons were added, and for which builds?
Season 2 added one weapon for each build. Embark’s launch notes describe their firing styles and intended ranges, but provide no basis here for numerical damage comparisons or present-day balance judgments.

Dematerializer — open and close routes
The Medium ability temporarily removes surfaces, letting contestants see, shoot, or pass through them. The surface can then be restored, so the opening does not have to remain as a permanent change to the arena.
Gateway — link two portals
The Light ability connects two portals within a limited range. Anyone can use the link; players cannot see or shoot through the portals.

Anti-Gravity Cube — lift people and objects
The Heavy device lifts nearby contestants and objects. Its effects can support traversal or create an obstacle in the arena.
Data Reshaper — turn enemy equipment into props
The Medium ability converts deployed enemy equipment into harmless arena props, disrupting defenses without relying on a direct weapon attack.

What else was included at the Season 2 launch?
Embark’s 2024 launch notes listed a Season 2 Battle Pass with 12 pages and 96 rewards. That is the pass’s launch-announcement count, not information about its current availability.
