The official launch trailer introduces The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, a Nintendo Switch adventure in which Princess Zelda uses copied objects and creatures—called echoes—to explore, solve puzzles, and fight. The game launched on September 26, 2024.
What the launch trailer is about
The trailer promotes a story in which mysterious rifts are opening across Hyrule and swallowing people and places. Zelda sets out to save the kingdom with help from Tri, an ethereal creature, and the Tri Rod. The official Play Nintendo page identifies the video as the game’s launch trailer, but does not establish its publication date.

How echoes shape the adventure
The Tri Rod lets Zelda create echoes: imitations of objects and enemies she encounters. Rather than relying on a single approach, players can use what they have learned to get around obstacles, solve environmental puzzles, and take on enemies.

- Create water blocks to reach higher ground.
- Stack old beds to form a bridge.
- Throw rocks at enemies or summon monster echoes to fight alongside Zelda.
These examples capture the central idea: familiar objects and creatures can become tools, and choosing which echo to use is part of working through a challenge.

What else Zelda can do
Echoes are not the game’s only ability or activity. Zelda can use Bind and Reverse Bond, and she can temporarily take a swordfighter form. The adventure also includes dungeons in the Still World, automatons built with Dampé, smoothies with temporary effects, and outfits or accessories that provide different effects.
Platform and play options
Nintendo lists Echoes of Wisdom for Nintendo Switch, with handheld, TV, and tabletop play. Its US product page lists a physical edition and describes the game as a single-system, one-player experience. Nintendo notes that software compatibility and the experience may differ on Switch Lite, and that some play experiences may require additional accessories.

Nintendo says Zelda-themed amiibo figures can unlock in-game rewards, including smoothie ingredients and outfits in alternate colors. Amiibo are optional; the official product information does not identify specific compatible figure models.
