What did Hollow Knight: Silksong cost at launch?
Team Cherry announced a U.S. price of $19.99 on September 1, 2025, four days before release. The announcement also listed €19.99 and ¥2,300 for the regions using those currencies; these are announced regional prices, not currency conversions or a guarantee of current prices everywhere. PC Gamer reported the announcement.
The game launched September 4, 2025. Team Cherry developed and published it. Steam’s listing describes it as an action-adventure sequel to Hollow Knight, with players controlling Hornet in Pharloom.

Nintendo lists digital editions for Switch and Switch 2, and says the game is supported on Switch 2. Its listing describes the Switch 2 upgrade pack as free. Editions and pricing remain region-specific, so verify the details on the Nintendo store page for your country.

What does the $19.99 buy?
The price refers to the game, not its separately listed soundtrack. Steam lists the official soundtrack as a separate $11.99 item. The game itself follows Hornet through Pharloom, where players explore areas, fight enemies, complete quests, and craft tools. The soundtrack is optional and is not included in the game’s announced price.
