Not yet, at least not in the published patch notes. CD PROJEKT RED released two updates on October 1, 2026, but only Patch 5.00b covered PS5—and its notes do not identify a specific PS5 performance fix. Hotfix 5.00c was for PC versions. Further PS5 performance improvements have been reported as in progress, but no release date or confirmed list of fixes has been established.
What did the October 1 patches change?
| Update | Platforms listed | Relevant changes | PS5 performance fix identified? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Patch 5.00b | PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC Xbox Play Anywhere version | Lighting adjustments, including dark interiors; other adjustments intended to ensure parity with PC; a DLSS issue fix for Xbox Play Anywhere on PC. | No. The official notes do not name a PS5-specific performance fix. |
| Hotfix 5.00c | PC storefront versions—Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store and Battle.net—and Xbox Play Anywhere on PC | Fixes include save and load paths containing special characters, voiceover volume after pausing, visual issues in Velen, telemetry settings, GOG achievements, and launching Classic version 1.32. It also reverts a change that caused HairWorks performance and visual issues for some users. | No. PS5 is not listed as a platform for this hotfix. |
CD PROJEKT RED said the 5.00b team was investigating reports through its Technical Support portal. The studio also said it was preparing a separate PC hotfix for a save issue. The full platform lists and notes are in the official 5.00b announcement and official 5.00c announcement.

Are more PS5 performance fixes coming?
GamesRadar reported that CD PROJEKT RED was working on further performance improvements, particularly on PS5. That account attributes the update to the studio, but the later statement also surfaced as a Reddit repost and could not be independently confirmed from an official post. Treat it as a reported plan, not confirmation of a completed fix or a scheduled patch.
Separately, GamesRadar quoted Global Community and Social Media Director Marcin Momot saying a console fix for a volume issue was planned, without a release date. That reported volume fix is distinct from the broader performance improvements; neither report supplies a confirmed PS5 patch date or a detailed fix list. GamesRadar’s October 1 report covers the comments, while the Reddit repost is available here.

What performance does the PS5 version target?
PlayStation’s product listing describes two modes for PS5: Ray Tracing Mode at 30 FPS and Performance Mode at 60 FPS. These are the platform holder’s stated mode targets, not independent measurements of performance after the October patches. The same listing gives PS5 Pro separate capabilities, so its claims should not be applied to the base PS5. See the PlayStation product listing.
Players have posted individual reports of frame-rate drops in Performance Mode, including one Reddit complaint. That post is anecdotal; it does not establish how widespread the issue is, and the available official patch notes do not provide benchmark results or measured performance gains.

Who gets the Remastered upgrade?
The remastered release became available on September 29, 2026. CD PROJEKT RED says it includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine and is a free upgrade for owners on supported platforms. The PlayStation listing specifies that eligible existing PS5 owners can upgrade at no cost; the PS5 upgrade does not apply to the PS4 version. Check the CD PROJEKT announcement and PlayStation’s listing for the applicable terms.
