For a PC in the recommended class, start with 1920×1080, High quality and a 60 FPS target. A system close to minimum should use 1920×1080, Low quality and a 30 FPS target. Those are the published configuration targets, not a guarantee that every scene transition will be perfectly hitch-free.
The remaster’s PC menu is intentionally simple in launch-day coverage: the meaningful quality choice is High versus Low, rather than a long list of separately adjustable shadows, textures, ray tracing and anti-aliasing controls. Use the preset as a complete rendering profile. Start on High, observe whether frame delivery remains even, and move to Low only when the machine cannot maintain the target. Lowering a single unverified setting is not a reliable troubleshooting method when that control may not exist in the remaster.
High is the recommended presentation

High is the sensible first choice when the computer meets or exceeds the recommended CPU and GPU, because it preserves the remaster’s intended lighting, character detail, environments and animation while aiming for smoother input and camera movement.

How to interpret the specification table
The minimum and recommended rows are targets, not a graded scale of every possible combination. A newer processor paired with an older graphics card, or more graphics memory paired with a below-minimum processor, can behave differently from the listed examples. - Confirm the hardware tier. Compare the processor and graphics card with the recommended entries above. If the machine is closer to the minimum parts, begin with the 30 FPS profile instead of assuming High will be stable.

- Compare High and Low. If both presets pause at the same transition, the symptom is less consistent with a simple quality-setting overload.
- Disable overlays. Turn off launcher, chat, performance-monitoring and recording overlays temporarily. Relaunch after changing them.

Where can I find the original game’s graphics options?
