Ubisoft describes Ghost Recon Breakpoint as “a tactical third-person shooter set in a vast open world.” You play Nomad, a U.S. special-operations soldier sent to the fictional Pacific island of Auroa after a Navy cargo ship disappears. The setup leads into a conflict with the forces occupying the island.

What should you check before buying?
- Platform and edition: Ubisoft lists PC, PS4, Xbox, and Steam; the PlayStation Store has PS4 editions and add-ons. Check the exact platform and included content in the listing you plan to buy.
- PS5 compatibility: The PlayStation Store says the PS4 game is playable on PS5, while noting that some PS4 features may be absent.
- Price and format: Prices, offers, edition contents, and physical-copy availability vary by region and can change. Confirm the current details with the retailer before purchase.
- Online features: Axios reported on April 7, 2022, that Ubisoft had stopped development of new content. That report does not establish whether all online features or servers are currently available, so do not infer present service status from it.
Ubisoft’s 2019 launch announcement also described a Wolves Collector’s Edition with a 24 cm Cole D. Walker figurine, steelbook, soundtrack, three lithographs, waterproof map, and dog tag. That is historical information about the edition’s contents, not evidence that it remains in stock.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a mixed-reception tactical open-world shooter whose appeal rests on flexible combat, scale, and co-op, alongside recurring criticism of RPG systems, technical problems, and uneven design.
