Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →TRIBE NINE’s service ended on November 27, 2025, at 15:00 JST. Akatsuki Games also said it would not implement previously announced known-issue fixes. So there are no eight verified fixes to promise, and troubleshooting cannot restore the online service. If you already have the PC client, the documented checks are to compare your PC with the game’s minimum requirements and, only if you saw a specific McAfee detection or “Failed to load il2cpp” error, follow Akatsuki Games’ narrow security-software instructions.
First, understand what “crashing” means
A game that closes to the desktop or fails to launch is different from a PC that blue-screens, locks up, or restarts. Steam’s general guidance treats a blue or gray screen or forced restart as a computer problem, not a game or Steam problem. That guidance is not a TRIBE NINE-specific diagnosis. If the whole PC fails and you cannot identify the cause, contact your computer manufacturer or a local computer professional.
Akatsuki Games’ official service notice says TRIBE NINE service ended on November 27, 2025, at 15:00 JST. The company also stated on May 15, 2025: “Additionally, new features, adjustments, and known-issue fixes previously announced via in-game notices will not be implemented.” These notices mean an old installation may still have a local launch problem, but they do not establish that the game can currently be downloaded or that it can connect to a functioning service.
Check whether your PC meets the official minimum requirements
Akatsuki Games’ February 20, 2025 PC requirements notice lists this minimum baseline:
#1 Best Overall
- Whisper-Quiet Operation: Enjoy a noise-free and interference-free environment with super quiet fans, allowing you to focus on your work or entertainment without distractions.
- Enhanced Cooling Performance: The laptop cooling pad features 5 built-in fans (big fan: 4.72-inch, small fans: 2.76-inch), all with blue LEDs. 2 On/Off switches enable simultaneous control of all 5 fans and LEDs. Simply press the switch to select 1 fan working, 4 fans working, or all 5 working together.
- Dual USB Hub: With a built-in dual USB hub, the laptop fan enables you to connect additional USB devices to your laptop, providing extra connectivity options for your peripherals. Warm tips: The packaged cable is a USB-to-USB connection. Type C connection devices require a Type C to USB adapter.
- Ergonomic Design: The laptop cooling stand also serves as an ergonomic stand, offering 6 adjustable height settings that enable you to customize the angle for optimal comfort during gaming, movie watching, or working for extended periods. Ideal gift for both the back-to-school season and Father's Day.
- Secure and Universal Compatibility: Designed with 2 stoppers on the front surface, this laptop cooler prevents laptops from slipping and keeps 12-17 inch laptops—including Apple Macbook Pro Air, HP, Alienware, Dell, ASUS, and more—cool and secure during use.
| Component | Official minimum |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit |
| Memory | 8 GB |
| DirectX | DirectX 11 or 12 |
| Storage | 20 GB |
| CPU | Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, or CPU PassMark score of 8,091 or higher |
| GPU | GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 580, or video-card PassMark score of 7,860 or higher |
These are the game’s stated minimum requirements, not a guarantee of stable operation. If your system is below the listed baseline, that is relevant context for a launch or performance issue; it does not prove the cause of a crash. Avoid buying parts solely to fix TRIBE NINE: service has ended, and the official notices do not establish that an upgraded PC would make the game accessible.
Use the McAfee remedy only for the documented detection
Akatsuki Games reported that some security software, including McAfee, could detect the files as Win64/Packed.VMProtect.AC and prevent the game from downloading or launching. Its guidance is specific to that situation; it is not a general recommendation to disable antivirus protection or add arbitrary files to exclusions.

- Streamlined Fan Connections: Daisy-chain multiple fans together and control them all through just one 4-pin PWM connector and one +5V ARGB connector.
- Lighting Made Easy: Eight LEDs per fan shine bright with customisable lighting through your motherboard’s built-in ARGB control (requires compatible motherboard).
- Precise PWM Speeds: Set your fan speeds up to 2,100 RPM while providing up to 72.8 CFM airflow to your system.
- CORSAIR AirGuide Technology: Anti-vortex vanes direct airflow at your hottest components for concentrated cooling, pushing air in the direction you need when mounted to a radiator or heatsink.
- High Static Pressure: RS fans work well as radiator fans with a static pressure of 2.8mm-H2O to push through obstructions.
- Confirm that the alert is the named
Win64/Packed.VMProtect.ACdetection associated with TRIBE NINE, or that the launch error is “Failed to load il2cpp.” If the symptoms do not match, this documented remedy may not apply. - For McAfee, open Real-Time Scanning’s Excluded Files settings and add
steam.exeandtribenine.exefrom the TRIBE NINE installation folder, following Akatsuki Games’ notice. - If the error is “Failed to load il2cpp,” Akatsuki Games says to restore the quarantined item first, then add the detected files to the exclusions list.
- If you use another security product or cannot find the relevant controls, consult that provider for its instructions. Do not turn off protection broadly based on this historical, product-specific notice.
If the problem is a whole-PC crash, investigate the computer
A blue or gray screen, a lockup that forces a restart, or an unexpected system restart is not the same symptom as TRIBE NINE closing. Steam’s support guidance recommends contacting the computer manufacturer or a local computer professional if you cannot resolve a whole-computer failure. The available guidance does not identify a TRIBE NINE-specific hardware fault or support a particular component upgrade.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Where to seek support
Steam’s TRIBE NINE support listing names Akatsuki Games and gives the TRIBE NINE gameplay or technical issue page. The listing includes [email protected], but it does not establish whether that address is monitored after the service ended, so a response is not guaranteed. When contacting support, include whether the game closes, will not launch, or triggers a whole-PC failure; add your operating system, CPU, GPU, memory, and the exact error or security detection.
