Truck is a Jakobs legendary sniper rifle in Borderlands 4. Its named special effect is Fixer-Upper. The most cited farming lead is Bio-Thresher Omega in Fades District, but the guides that mention it disagree on acquisition details, and no official source we could find confirms a current dedicated farm. Treat the location as a lead to test in your own game, not a guaranteed drop.
What Truck is
Truck is the name of a single weapon: a legendary sniper rifle made by Jakobs. It is a handheld rifle that drops as loot, not a vehicle-mounted sniper setup, so it will not appear as a turret or driver-operated weapon. Gamer Guides lists it in its Borderlands 4 legendary sniper rifle table with the Fixer-Upper effect, and the Borderlands Wiki on Fandom also lists Truck and Fixer-Upper, which makes the identity and effect the best-corroborated facts in this guide.

Its effect: Fixer-Upper
Fixer-Upper is the effect name attached to Truck. A community weapon page describes it as “High damage and critical damage.” That wording is the page’s own summary rather than a published stat sheet, so it tells you the direction of the effect without giving exact numbers.
Exact values depend on the roll. Two Truck rifles can carry different parts, damage figures, and critical multipliers, so the item card in your inventory is the final reference for any particular copy. The sources behind this guide do not document a tested build or a specific roll, and this article does not claim hands-on testing.

Where to find Truck
Every source agrees that Truck is a legendary drop, but they do not agree on where it comes from. Use the lead below as a starting point and check it against your own results.
The reported lead: Bio-Thresher Omega in Fades District
The community weapon page reports an increased chance for Truck to drop from Bio-Thresher Omega in Fades District. Game8’s search listings also link the rifle to this enemy. A reported chance increase means the guide’s author observed or believes the enemy is a better source than others; it is not a fixed drop rate, and the page does not give a sample size or a patch version for that observation.
If you want to test the lead, fight Bio-Thresher Omega in Fades District repeatedly and record the number of kills and any Truck drops. Several runs are needed before the result tells you anything, because legendary drops are random and a short streak proves little in either direction.
Where the sources disagree
| Claim | Source | How much weight it deserves |
|---|---|---|
| Truck is a Jakobs legendary sniper rifle with the Fixer-Upper effect | Gamer Guides; Borderlands Wiki on Fandom | Strongest agreement in the sources reviewed |
| Higher drop chance from Bio-Thresher Omega in Fades District | Community weapon page | Reported lead; no sample size or patch version given |
| Bio-Thresher Omega is associated with Truck | Game8 search listings | Consistent with the community page, but Game8’s general legendary list gives Truck a separate location entry, so its own pages are not fully consistent |
| Mission and vending-machine acquisition details | Nerd’s Chalk | Conflicts with the community weapon page; not verified and not repeated here |
| Official drop source for Truck | Gearbox and Borderlands support pages | Not stated: the official pages we reviewed do not identify Truck’s current source |
Because the mission-based claim cannot be checked against the community page, do not plan a run around a specific mission or vendor expecting Truck to appear. If a mission does offer it, you will see it in the reward or the loot pool, not by relying on a guide.
How to check whether the lead still works
- Confirm your game is on a current version. Drop rates and enemy loot tables change with patches, and the community page does not state which patch it was written for.
- Go to Fades District and fight Bio-Thresher Omega. Log each kill, and note any legendary sniper rifle drop.
- When a Truck drops, open its item card and compare the effect and stats with the effect description above. The card, not this article, is the reference for that copy.
- If you have run the enemy many times without a Truck, try a different source from the Game8 or community listings before concluding the lead is wrong. Keep your count, because it shows whether the drop is rare or absent.
Dates, platforms, and versions
Gamer Guides lists its Truck entry on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and gives a guide release date of September 10, 2025, with a last-updated date of September 25, 2026. Its page metadata does not name a game patch for the weapon entry. Nerd’s Chalk’s guide was last updated September 25, 2025. The community weapon page does not show a patch version, so its drop claim should be treated as tied to the version it was written for, which is not identified.

Location details are not tied to a region; the in-game facts here apply wherever the game is sold. The only version-sensitive claim is the farming lead, and that is the one to verify on your build.
Players also search for this rifle as “How to Get Truck in Borderlands 4” or “Truck snipe rifle location and quest details.” Those phrases point to the same weapon, and the answers they return are the acquisition claims covered above.
No official statement from Gearbox names a current source for Truck. If an official update changes the drop source, it will be the authoritative answer, and the community lead should be dropped in its favor.
