The dates below are Nintendo-listed dates, not a guarantee that every title launches worldwide on the same day. October entries are drawn from Nintendo UK’s October 2026 guide and Nintendo Australia’s Direct page. Nintendo UK says its October dates were accurate when that guide was published.

What the October listings say about the games
Nintendo describes FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE as the first FINAL FANTASY game presented in HD-2D, with turn-based battles and Visions. Several other entries carry edition labels in their listed names, including Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition and FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves – STANDARD Edition; check the local store listing for the exact edition available in your region.

Nintendo Australia’s Direct page lists three December releases. The dates below apply to that Australian listing; the cited schedule does not establish that other territories share them.

What Switch 2 games have dates in 2027?
Nintendo Australia lists two dated releases in 2027 in the cited schedule:

Which announced Switch 2 games do not have a precise date?
Nintendo’s May 2026 investor presentation names Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves among forthcoming series entries, but the cited presentation excerpt gives neither a month nor a day for either game. They belong on an announced-but-undated watchlist, not in a dated release calendar.

The presentation also included Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Star Fox, and Splatoon Raiders in a 2026 schedule. Those planned dates were already past at the October 7, 2026 cutoff, so they are not included here as upcoming releases. A past schedule alone does not establish whether a game has launched, slipped, or had its status otherwise changed.
How to read Switch 2 release dates and editions
- Check the territory. The dates here come from Nintendo UK or Nintendo Australia listings. A date on one regional page should not be assumed to apply everywhere.
- Separate a dated listing from a window. A day-and-month entry is more precise than a year-only or undated announcement. Nintendo’s investor presentation supplies no precise date for Pokémon Winds or Pokémon Waves.
- Read the edition name carefully. The schedule includes entries explicitly labeled as editions, including Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition. Those labels do not, by themselves, explain upgrade terms, included content, or availability in every market.
- Use publisher listings for confirmation. Cross-publisher calendars such as Nintendo Life’s release-date guide and GamesRadar+’s upcoming-games guide can help surface candidates, but they are secondary sources and may include tentative dates or regional variations. Verify a title with its publisher or an official platform page before relying on a date.
