Owlcat Games announced that Update 1.6 went live on June 11, 2026, with changes to combat mechanics, character features, grenades and talent selection. The announcement links to the full patch notes. A separate Steam result lists build 1.6.1.511, but its “Jul 14” date has no year, so it does not establish which build is currently latest.
What changed in Update 1.6?
Owlcat Games said Update 1.6 was preparing the game for The Infinite Museion DLC. The publisher’s announcement highlights these changes:
- A major mechanics overhaul for Uralon the Cruel and his daemons.
- Changes to Pasqal and Forge World origins so they interact with the DLC augmentation system.
- Changes to Operative and Assassin features, including Operative talent scaling.
- Grenade changes.
- A redesigned talent-selection interface with filters and grouping.
These are announcement highlights, not a substitute for the full change list. Consult Owlcat’s full Steam patch notes for the exact changes.
Is Update 1.6.1.511 newer, and is it the latest build?
An official Steam announcement result lists Update 1.6.1.511 as live and describes fixes involving Blade Dancer and Assassin abilities, narrative and epilogue issues, Eogunn reactivity, and enemies becoming immune to attack during combat’s first turn. The surfaced date is “Jul 14” without a year. That missing year means the result cannot establish its place in the chronology or confirm the latest stable build for every platform.

Which version should I use?
Owlcat said the build before Update 1.6 was 1.5.0.320. It remained available through beta branches for players dealing with mod problems or wishing to finish a playthrough without the changes. Owlcat also warned that it could not assist with issues related to that build. The older version is therefore a fallback option, not the current update described in the 1.6 announcement.
Are beta known issues the same as patch notes?
No. Released update announcements describe changes in a live release; a beta known-issues list describes problems associated with a beta build. Check the official beta known-issues resource when testing a beta, and distinguish those reports from stable-release fixes. Beta issue status can change as builds are updated.

That estimate applies to that announcement only, not necessarily to every patch; check the specific update notice and your platform’s update listing if the version is not yet available.
