The revived Acclaim held its first Play Acclaim Showcase on September 10, 2025, unveiling a nine-game slate that was promoted as including games coming in 2026. One title, Katanaut, was already available at the time. The showcase is over; the 2026 wording described the announcement period, not a verified statement of current release status.
What was announced at the Play Acclaim Showcase?
Acclaim’s September 10, 2025 release named nine games: Talaka, GRIDBeat!, Pixel Washer, TossDown, Hyper Yuki, Ground Zero Hero, Basketball Classic, The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest, and Katanaut. GameSpot’s recap also counted nine games in the showcase.

Acclaim said Katanaut was available at the time of the presentation. That is a historical availability note, not confirmation of its present release status or platforms.

Why was it described as a 2026 lineup?
The “coming in 2026” language came from the promotional framing ahead of the September 2025 showcase. Acclaim’s August 26, 2025 teaser described games coming in 2026; the showcase itself followed on September 10. That wording should not be read as a current release calendar: the available announcements do not establish which games have since launched, their present platforms, or their current availability.

Who is the revived Acclaim?
Engadget reported in August 2025 that the revived publisher was a new company that acquired the Acclaim trademark, rather than the original company simply resuming operations. It described the new entity’s plans as publishing indie games and reviving classic franchises, while noting that its rights to legacy games were unclear. The trademark alone does not establish that the new company owns or has licensed any particular older Acclaim game or franchise.
