Can you still log in to the global version?
No. The global shutdown announcement said service would end at 00:00 PST on August 29, 2024, and that players would not be able to log in after that point. The date has passed. This timing is stated in the announcement text reproduced by Sotwe’s archive of the CodeGeassglobal profile; the archived text attributes the notice to the official profile.

What happened to purchases and unused paid currency?
The reproduced notice said new downloads and purchases would stop at 00:00 PST on July 29, 2024. It does not establish what happened to paid currency left in accounts after the service ended, whether refunds were offered, or how a player could claim one. The available evidence therefore does not support promising a refund or saying that refunds were definitively unavailable for global players.

The Japan-region support FAQ is about a different situation: a player intentionally deleting an account. It says paid Sakura Diamonds cannot be refunded after that deletion. That rule is not a statement about global accounts or unused currency after the global shutdown.
Does losing login access mean the player data was deleted?
Not necessarily. The shutdown notice establishes that players could no longer log in through the service; it does not state when, or whether on a particular schedule, the operator erased backend player records. No global data-retention or deletion timetable is established by the available sources.
Can you recover a Lost Stories account or its contents?
The global notice says login access ended, and the available sources do not identify a recovery method or product that restores access, purchases, or player data after the shutdown. The game was offered as a smartphone and PC title, with story and battles delivered through the game service, as described in the official Code Geass franchise announcement. A physical Code Geass item or reinstalling the app is not evidence of a way to restore the ended service.

How Japan-region account deletion differs
The official Lost Stories FAQ, dated June 10, 2024, addresses Japan-region support and user-initiated deletion—not the English/global shutdown. It says intentional account deletion removes player data permanently and cannot be undone; account recovery and refunds for paid Sakura Diamonds are unavailable after deletion. The FAQ also distinguishes uninstalling the app from deleting the account. Those policies should not be applied to global accounts or treated as a ruling on global shutdown refunds.
