Endgame is a replayable co-op activity in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, not just a Campaign epilogue. In its original form, it unlocks after the first 11 Co-Op Campaign missions and sends squads into Avalon for repeatable objectives, escalating fights and a high-stakes escape. Season 03 later added a separate, limited-time free-to-play version through Call of Duty and Warzone; that offer did not include the Co-Op Campaign.
What is Endgame in Black Ops 7?
Endgame is a PvE co-op activity set after the first 11 Co-Op Campaign missions. In Avalon, JSOC continues its fight against The Guild while toxin exposure zones complicate deployments. Rather than following a single linear mission, players take on dynamic Assignments, push through increasingly difficult zones, build their capabilities and decide when to extract.

Call of Duty describes it as “Designed for 1–32 players in squads of up to four,” with replayability built around escalating zones, Skill Tracks, Combat Ratings, Assignments and escape. The 1–32 figure describes the supported experience size, not a statistic about how many people play it. Call of Duty’s launch guide presents Endgame as an ongoing activity within the Co-Op Campaign.

How an Endgame run works
Deploy and take on Assignments
Choose an Operator and Loadout, then deploy to Avalon with a squad of up to four. Complete dynamic Assignments and move through zones where the opposition becomes more difficult. Successful runs let you develop Skill Tracks and Combat Rating.

Choose between pushing on and extracting
Progress earned during a run is exposed to risk: if you are killed in action, you lose the power earned in that run. Extracting preserves that run’s progress, so deciding whether to pursue another objective or leave is part of the mode’s central risk-and-reward loop.
How to unlock Endgame in the Campaign
- Play through the first 11 missions in the Black Ops 7 Co-Op Campaign.
- After completing those missions, access Endgame as the Campaign’s replayable activity in Avalon.
The unlock condition refers to the Co-Op Campaign version. The later Season 03 free-to-play offer was a distinct access route, not the mode’s original debut.

Can you play Endgame in Warzone?
During Season 03, Endgame became available for a limited time as a free-to-play mode through the main Call of Duty menu and within Warzone and Black Ops 7. Blizzard’s Season 03 guide describes co-op PvE runs featuring boss encounters, repeatable challenges, Exotic weapons, Nightmare skills, XP and seasonal rewards. That Warzone availability did not include the Co-Op Campaign. Because the offer was time-limited, the Season 03 access route should not be assumed to remain available.
Does Endgame progression carry over?
Endgame contributes to broader game progression. The launch guide says it continues main Player Progression and Weapon Leveling and includes specific camos for all 30 launch weapons. Xbox also lists global Level XP, Weapon Levels, Weapon Camos and Battle Pass progress among Endgame activity rewards in its Black Ops 7 overview. These are official descriptions of progression systems, not an independent assessment of how quickly or rewarding it feels to earn them.

What do you need to play Black Ops 7?
Activision lists Black Ops 7’s release date as November 14, 2025, with versions for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Battle.net, Steam and Game Pass. Activision’s game page provides the platform listing; availability and terms can vary over time or by region.
