ge.exe is not a self-authenticating Windows system file. The strongest documented legitimate use of that exact filename is the Granado Espada (also known as Sword 2) game client, but the same name can be copied by unrelated software or used in malware telemetry. Treat the individual file—not the filename—as the subject of your safety decision. Check its complete path, installed owner, publisher and signature, hash, persistence, behavior and current antivirus result before running or deleting it. Is ge.exe safe on my computer?

1. Record the complete path
Do this before moving, deleting or replacing the file. In Task Manager, right-click the process if it is running and choose Open file location. For a file found through File Explorer, right-click it, select Properties and note the Location field. Preserve the full path in your notes, including the drive letter and every folder name. 4. Check persistence locations
Open Settings > Apps > Startup and review enabled entries. Also open Task Scheduler, select Task Scheduler Library and inspect tasks whose actions launch the same ge.exe path. A task that clearly belongs to the installed game may be normal. An unknown task, especially one launching from a temporary or random folder, should be treated as evidence to investigate; the entry alone does not establish infection.
5. Compare an exact hash when necessary
A SHA-256 hash is a fingerprint for the exact bytes of a file. In PowerShell, run Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 "C:fullpathge.exe", replacing the path with the one you recorded.
