The optional Miray Virtual Disk component installs a storage-controller driver. During a Custom installation, you can exclude that component. After changing the component selection, finish setup and restart Windows if the wizard requests it. If the error disappears, the optional driver—not the core HDClone application—was the likely trigger. How do I fix USB, UEFI, Secure Boot and disk-detection problems?
USB media will not boot
- Recreate the stick with Boot-Setup rather than reusing a partially written image.
- Verify that the intended USB device is selected and that its contents have been backed up.
- Enter the computer’s firmware boot menu and enable USB boot if it is disabled.
- Try another USB port, especially a port directly on the computer rather than an unpowered hub.
