If your edition or service-pack level is not in that list, do not assume this installer is supported. Check the application’s requirements and Microsoft’s framework documentation for an appropriate release.

The download is incomplete or altered
Hash mismatches, invalid signatures, an unexpected publisher or an installer that exits immediately point to a bad copy. Delete it, download the package again from Microsoft’s Download Center and repeat the checks.
